Jason Jones to Report from Iran All Next Week
If you've been watching The Daily Show in recent days, you've caught a few glimpses of Jason Jones's trip to Iran. Well, starting next Monday, you're in for an entire week of reports from Persia with Jason Jones in Iran: Access of Evil.
The Islamic Republic of Iran. For most Americans, the name conjures up images of angry Ayatollahs, mobs chanting “Death to America” and now possible election corruption but is this a fair representation? "The Daily Show’s" senior investigative foreign correspondent, Jason Jones journeys behind the veil in search of any human decency among this nation of terrorists and will file reports all week beginning Monday, June 22. Tune in to "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" every night at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT for "Jason Jones in Iran: Access of Evil."
“Jason Jones in Iran: Access of Evil” explored the vast gulf between the United States and Iran with Jones and producer Tim Greenberg visiting cities and sites across the Republic including Tehran, Qom and the Imam Mosque in Esfahan. In addition to attending a speech given by President Ahmadinejad, Jones spoke to a cross-section of Iranian society including a Zoroastrian priest, an Iranian family, an underground rapper and a feminist blogger. Jones also sat down with Islamic cleric Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Ali Abtahi, a former Vice President of the Republic, as well as Dr. Ebrahim Yazdi, a former Foreign Minister and aide to Ayatollah Khomeini.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

Dear Jason,
You did a great job and I enjoyed every second of your trip to Iran. Bravo to you and your good eye…..
In response to: "Thanks for making a mockery of Iranian people and putting their life in danger and having a few of the individuals in your "trip" sent to prison in Iran."
I'm not sure if you're an American or not, but if you aren't you should understand that 99% of the people who watch Jason's segments understand that he is not mocking Iran, but satirizing a stereotypical self-centered image of Americans.
It is sad and disappointing that some who spoke to him were arrested, however I think if they understand how his spots are helping humanize Iran for Americans, and how if there were more spots like that Iran-American relations woudl probably improve, I think most of those arrested would still have chosen to participate.
Because it's a comedy show, it may seem trite to you, but what Jon Stewart and Jason Jones are attempting to do is actually far more noble than what 90% of our non-comedic press is doing. It's an unfortunately commentary that American comedy is more intelligent than a large segment of our press.
Thanks for making a mockery of Iranian people and putting their life in danger and having a few of the individuals in your "trip" sent to prison in Iran.

That's incredible. I'm glad the modern American media movement is finally moving unabashedly in a direction that disqualifies rampant nationalism in favor of rampant humanism. Good for you Jason, good luck in you travels.
Take care over there brother! Be Safe!
