Last night's Daily Show featured Jason Jones's first full report from Iran, and it was extremely eye-opening. The Iranian people are so much like us. They like cake, they play video games, they even have a Muslim president! I guess it really is a small world after all.

Am I the only one who thought Jason Jone's joke about Jewish birds, told to the well-to-do Iranian family in their home, was in incredibly bad taste, bordering on anti-Semitism? I was so infuriated I had to turn off the TV. What were you morons thinking?

I visited Iran 4 years ago, LOVED it – a great eye opener, and while it may not be the funniest sketch, you can still plainly see what you see when you go there – NORMAL people! And really friendly and welcoming as well!

Mahmood, the translator in this peice, translated on a BBC 4 documentary called 'Rageh Inside Iran' as well. In the documentary in post-production is transpired that he deliberately mistranslated some things for some reason or another and they mention it on the voice over.
