Before They Get Stale: Paul F. Tompkins, Scott Aukerman and Jonathan Katz
The awesome Paul F. Tompkins went on Punchline's A Tight Five to demand an apology for being lightly dissed by them once. Will he come here if we do the same? Paul F. Tompkins, you think you're really great, but you're really not! [Punchline]
Tommy Wiseau was interviewed by the A.V. Club. Typically I would quote a bit from the interview, but every sentence is a gem. It's just like when I had to decide between watching Sophie's Choice and The Matrix (also about difficult choices). [AV Club]
Scott Aukerman is reportedly bringing Comedy Death Ray to comic books, producing a series of anthology comics written by comedians. Because comedy nerds weren't geeky enough, now we need to be comic book dorks too. [AST]
The Academy Awards is expanding its nomination list for best picture from five films to ten. So from now on all comedies will be snubbed ten times over instead of five. [The Envelope]
MTV announced it's new line-up, which includes a sketch show helmed by Jamie Foxx. I'm not sure, but the rest of the line up sounds more like possible sketches pitched for that show than actual real shows. Teen Wolf the series? [Variety]
David Fincher is going to direct that movie based on Facebook. Toward the end of the film, your dad will suddenly become part of the film's crew, but you won't care because you already started watching the Twitter movie. [AV Club]
Jonathan Katz, Jon Benjamin and Joe Mande (who just landed a book deal! Congrats!) lend their voices to an awesome short directed by the amazing Stephen Levinson and written by former Daily Show writer Jason Reich. Watch it after the jump.
