Did Adam and Eve Care About the Environment 6,000 Years Ago? I Think Not
From Indecision…
Hey, Arizona! Fantastic job electing Sylvia Allen to your state senate. This is a person who really knows how to use logic and understanding of facty things and a decent enough substitute for science to really make things happen.
Like, take for example, this except from a state senate session when she throws a logic grenade into the middle of an environmental debate and lets it explode kaplow all over everybody else's minds…
Exactly! I couldn't have put it in any more clearish terms myself. The Earth has been here for a whole 6,000 years and it hasn't been destroyed yet. So, what's all the concern now?
Come on now. Use your logic. 6,000 years is a loooooong time. It's 365,000 times longer than the entire time it took God to build the Earth out of magic powder and prayers. And, you've got to figure, in that time there's been countless attempts to destroy it by all the demons and dragons and orcs and chupacabras and drow elves and displacer beasts and that one evil sub-species of unicorns. And it's still here! So, the Earth is either pretty resilient, or it's under an incredibly powerful spell of protection from a witchdoctor.
Either way, it can withstand a few more years of pummeling by us. At least until Jesus flies his magic bus down from Heaven to pick up all the faithful before the Rapture.
And, after that, who cares?
