Did Lindsay Lohan Turn Down a Role in The Hangover?
Since I know most of you read this blog for up to the minute Lindsay Lohan news, I feel it is my obligation to bring you this very important piece of gossip. Lilo did something again this time!
Lindsay Lohan passed up a chance at a career comeback. The hard-partying starlet turned down a role in the summer blockbuster "The Hangover," according to Us Weekly, because she said the screenplay "had no potential."
Todd Phillips, who directed the comedy, offered Lohan the role of Jade, a stripper played by Heather Graham. One source told the magazine Lohan's agent "tried hard to get Phillips to consider her," but "Lindsay said she didn't like the script." Lohan's rep didn't return e-mails.
When will this hard-partying starlet learn? The Hangover is obviously a great movie, but to Lohan's defense, maybe she read an early draft where instead of playing a stripper who marries Ed Helms, she plays a stripper with a missing hand and a secret twin sister. If that's the case, she was really smart for turning it down.
To be honest, I have no idea if this piece of gossip is true. I don't usually make it a habit of trusting gossip columns (I'm so paranoid, I know!) The real reason I'm posting this story is because it gives me the perfect excuse to imagine what The Hangover would have looked like if Lindsay Lohan had been in it.
