I can't even get it to work on IE...

Apparently they don't want our ad revenue. Hell with them. I won't even watch the show live on cable until they fix this...

I posted earlier on September 26TH. Found that the changes didn't stick after I did a Restart of the System.

This is assuming you are running the proprietary adobe non-free player as I outlined earlier. Close and exit Firefox. As Root using Konqueror file manager navigate to /home/yourusername/.mozilla/plugins/ and check the details on the file libflashplayer.so. If it is the new Shockwave Flash 10.0 r32 version it should be 9.8 MB in size. The version I found here was was 7.7 MB.

Rename that file to libflashplayer.so.old. Copy the files libflashplayer.so and pubkey.asc from /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/ to /home/yourusername/.mozilla/plugins/

Restart Firefox and try playing a video from the Daily Show site. This did work after restarting the system

If you try it and it fixes your system (or not) it would be nice to know. I still don't know what is the cause of this weirdness.

Good Luck.

I get the same error:
Error loading stylesheet. RSL http://media.mtvnservices.com/global/flex/rsl/framework_3.2.0.3958.swz failed to load. Error #2046

I run the Firefox web-browser under the Debian 4.0 operating system (I've almost solely used Linux since 1994).

For those running Debian 5.0, the following webpage probably has your solution,
http://wiki.debian.org/FlashPlayer
This won't help me for a few more months,
because I value stability more than web-content -- my backups need to be made in triplicate and checked once for extraction before I upgrade.
Programmers who use whimsical techniques rather than standards should rethink their goals -- as a boss, I would show my employee that his work doesn't work.

This is what happens when you let bean counters make technical decisions.

SWZ File error

Error loading stylesheet. RSL http://media.mtvnservices.com/global/flex/rsl/framework_3.2.0.3958.swz failed to load. Error #2046

I am running Mepis Linux 8.0 and Firefox 3.5.2. This "Anomaly" turned up quite unexpectedly and I have been going quite totally nuts trying to get the videos from this site and http://www.southparkstudios.com to play.

In Synaptic I completely uninstalled flashplayer-mozilla Macromedia Flash Player and installed the flashplugin-nonfree
Adobe Flash Player - browser plugin.

That totally fixed it. Works great. Five minute Fix; weeks of research. Typical OMG is that all it was?

Trying to get a sensible explanation has been so absurd. Adobe leads me to this long drawn out crap about RSS feeds and Secure Feed Protocols. I really wish I had gotten that PHD in Computer Science now cause I don't know what they're talking about.

I still don't see the need for this as swf worked just as well, and I did not hear anybody clamoring for someone to fix that.

What we really do not need is yet another proprietary standard that does nothing but add to the existing morass.
