Grandmothers Are Always Doing Stand-up

Making people laugh when you're a grandma is really easy, because you're being graded on a curve. While most grandmas are great at baking pies and knitting sweaters, they usually stink at stand-up comedy. That's why I don't buy whatever Grandma Lee from America's Got Talent is selling.

I don't mean to dis Grandma Lee. She had a few zingers and then people laughed the laughter of joy. That is basically what comedy is all about, and I'm glad she is doing what makes her happy. But she wasn't worthy of THAT much praise! Even that mean British guy told her she was his favorite contestant of the season. That's basically like the greatest honor England can bestow.

All I'm saying is, I think my grandma makes the best chicken pot pie in the world, but I don't think she should win Hell's Kitchen.
