Was2322797To celebrate The Simpsons 20th anniversary, the show hired Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) to direct a special documentary episode examining The Simpsons' impact on the world. To prepare for the job, Spurlock will go thirty days eating nothing but that gross Simpsons cereal from a few years back.

Just to clarify, the episode will be called The Simpson's 20th Anniversary Special In 3-D on Ice, but it will neither be in 3-D nor on ice. That's just an absurd funny title.

In THE SIMPSONS 20TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL IN 3-D ON ICE, Spurlock will examine the cultural phenomenon of THE SIMPSONS in his distinctive and innovative style. The special will document how the world sees THE SIMPSONS and how the Simpson family has seen the world for two decades.

“When they first called me about this, I thought it was a prank and I hung up,” said Spurlock. “And then my agent called back and said, ‘No, no, this is for real,’ at which point I fainted. Then when I woke up, I called everyone I knew because it was the coolest thing I could ever get to do in my career.”

As James Hibberd of The Live Feed points out, the press release is a little bit confusing, but this special episode still sounds amazing. This part at the very end of the press release is funny though.

NOTE: Please note the special is neither in 3-D nor on ice

NOTE: Please note this press release isn't very well-written! I got my hopes up for a 3-D Simpson's ice-stravaganza for nothing.

Who am I to judge this press release writer? Am I always never not good at making the points that I'm trying to say in my writing very good for you to understand? Like bananas I'm not!
