Colbert Nation to Stream New Albums from Flaming Lips and Mountain Goats
You love Colbert Report videos and awesome music, but who has time to visit two different websites to get them? Well, friends, you're in luck. Soon you'll be able to stream new records from The Flaming Lips and The Mountain Goats at the same place you fill your face with green-screen challenges and monkeys on the lam.
The Flaming Lips will become the first performers to debut their new double album "Embryonic" on ColbertNation.com. The band will appear on the show on Wednesday, September 16 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. The album will be made available online for a limited-time only immediately after Wednesday night's show through Monday, September 21. "Embryonic" will be released on Tuesday, October 13. Also, this is the first time The Flaming Lips have pre-released an album digitally in its entirety.
The Mountain Goats are slated to make their late night television debut on "The Colbert Report" on Tuesday, October 6 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. In concurrence with their performance, ColbertNation.com will stream their upcoming album "The Life of the World to Come."
The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30pm / 10:30c.
