Want more signs of an impending apocalypse?
Our office elevators feature the "Captivate Network" — a "digital programming and advertising network [that] informs and entertains business professionals at work." Basically, it's TV screens in the elevators that display news headlines, sports scores and other things people don't have time to read while traveling a mere 3 floors.
But today, as I'm heading up to the office, I was shocked and appalled to see it displaying the current top Twitter trends.

Alright, Elevator. We already have Twitter trends on our phones, on our computers and spewing out of every 13-year-old on the globe. Please, let our brief elevator rides each day be our one moment of salvation from the mayhem!
I never thought I'd see the day where I missed elevator music.
