Before They Get Stale: Brent Weinbach, Dave Foley and Greg Daniels The Public Option Debate: It's Gonna Be One Crazy Ride!

During a Mike Birbiglia show at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Michigan, a stage light decided it didn't like being a stage light anymore, so it suicided itself and started a small fire. RIP, stage lamp. "The candle burned out long before, the legend ever will." Anyway, Mike Birbiglia does a great job handling the situation.

The best part about all this, besides the fact that no one was hurt and that the show was not canceled, is the fact that it happened in Michigan. Matt Tobey lives in Michigan. I now get to make fun of his state.

  1. After being put out, the stage light was deemed as inactive as Michigan's economy.
  2. What do people call a building on fire in Michigan? Just another building in Michigan.
  3. How many people from Michigan does it take to put out a fire? Three. One person to put out the fire, a second person to terminate the first person's employment and decide to outsource the job, and a third person to film the whole thing and call it Roger & Me.

I probably shouldn't have made fun of Matt Tobey's home. It seems like a really nice place! You should consider moving there. I hear there's a lot of available real estate right now.

Am I fired now? Get it? Fire!
