Colbert Crusades Against Weightism
You're fat. It's just probability. Statistically speaking, if you throw a cheeseburger in America, it's more likely to hit a fat person than a nonfat or reduced-fat person, and not just because they're a bigger target. That's right, as Stephen Colbert reported on last night's Colbert Report, 2/3 of American adults are overweight or obese. Like it or not, fats are the new majority, and they're demanding to be heard. Right after they finish this bite.
The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30pm / 10:30c.

"obesity is an epidemic pratically exclusive to America"
???
Go check your facts. It's a global epidemic affecting all the rich nations.
Try your best to blame lazy people on this but the real culprit is the food industry that use all those cheap fattening additives like corn fructose then incessantly markets them EVERYWHERE, sports venues, tv, movies, schoolhouses via vending machine deals, etc etc.
How are poor families suppose to afford healthy fruits and vegetables when you have to pay a premium for them compared to the cheap processed foods like twinkies and hot dogs.
Of course those kids are going to be raised on cheap junk food from the markets and places like McDonalds and form life long habits that will make ronald mcdonald very proud.
Too bad Joe Camel didn't make the cut from the regulatory arm of the government.
My grocery bill is 2-3 times more than it would be if I didn't buy fruits and vegetables. Have you seen how much a pound of tomatoes cost??? It's insane.
Don't forget other factors like matabolism etc that affect people everyday.
I know people who barely exercise and are thin and who pig out on junk food and brag about it. But you won't call them fat and lazy will you. Doesn't make sense since they don't look the part even though they are gluttons and proud of it.
Its all about statistics, lad. You could be an exception. But numbers concur with what these guys are talking about.
Elayne, you ignorant slut…
Go eat a twinkie fatty
That's all well and good Elayne, but that doesn't change the fact that obesity is an epidemic pratically exclusive to America, and to somehow generalize and excuse our horrendous eating habits by saying "weight and food intake isn't always related" is dishonest and counterproductive. We are a lazy, obese, sedentary nation. Accept it and try to do something about it instead of making excuses.
Processed food addicts draining healthcare for their own disgusting gluttony and lack of self-control. A perfect example of man in conflict with nature. Nature will prevail.
Thrilled as ever to discover that cheap fatphobia jokes haven't gone by the wayside! Far be it for anyone to bring up useless facts like there isn't always a 1-to-1 connection between what someone weighs and how much they eat, that you can't always judge a person's health from looking at them, that there are plenty of unhealthy & lazy thin people and plenty of healthy & fit fat people… no, just keep going with your gut feelings about our guts…
