Adam Sandler Cast in Jack and Jill While Redo 2 Stalls in Pre-Production
Adam Sandler has just been cast in a new movie that will make the fake movies from Funny People seem like real movies from real life.
Adam Sandler… will next star in the romantic comedy "Jack and Jill" and produce via his Happy Madison shingle. Sandler will play Jack as well as twin sister Jill.
The film is being billed as a romantic comedy. I really wish Adam Sandler's female role in the film wasn't the part of his own twin sister, but rather, in the role of his own romantic interest.
How great would it be to see male Adam Sandler and female Adam Sandler going at it? If that image doesn't exist, please get on it, internet! (JK, that sounds horrific).
My favorite quote from any article about this film is from the Guardian.
It's not known whether the film will have any connection to the traditional nursery rhyme, whose roots arguably lie in 18th-century French history: "Jack" can be read as code for King Louis XVI, who was guillotined (lost his crown), and was followed by his queen, Marie Antoinette, "who came tumbling after".
Clearly this Adam Sandler romantic comedy will be set in 18th century France and deal with the complex and violent revolution that gave France its freedom but also fart jokes.
