John Oliver Is Obsessed With My Honeymoon
No Fact Zone has a fantastic new interview with John Oliver, wherein he discusses everything from working on The Daily Show to his upcoming Comedy Central stand-up series to being formally reprimanded by Buckingham Palace. And while it's a great read, I couldn't help but notice how many things uncannily reminded me of my honeymoon.
On making Rob Riggle where funny costumes:
The Mad Max outfit was a good one – bare midriff and lots of shoulder spikes. I’ll never forget the look on his face when he put it on for the first time. It was a mixture of deep shame and even deeper pride.
Sounds like my honeymoon!
On his one and only appearance on The Colbert Report:
I was wrapped around Stephen Colbert’s feet, with REM standing in the wings waiting to come on and play a song.
Sounds like my honeymoon!
On the ways writing for The Daily Show differs from previous projects:
To be honest, it’s going to be hard to answer this question without coming across like a pretentious jackass – especially when you use a word like ‘technique’ to describe a process which culminates in dick jokes.
Sounds like my honeymoon!
You really should read the full interview. It's funny, informative and will make you love John Oliver even more than you already do. Sounds like my honeymoon?
