The U.S. Olympic Team just got even more American. Filling a void left by the now-defunct Dutch bank DSB, The Colbert Report is now an official sponsor of the U.S. Speed Skaters!
Said Colbert, "We must ensure that it is America's 38-inch thighs on that medal platform!"
“US Speedskating is thrilled to be able to create a unique partnership between one of the great entertainers in the industry and one of the great sports in the Olympic movement,” said [Executive Director of US Speedskating Bob] Crowley. “Embracing the U.S. Speedskating Team will provide immeasurable exposure for our sport and very talented athletes.”

I am often amazed at how this "fake news show" manages to roll out awesomeness in the wake of its comic genius. The yellow ribbon campaign was a great example of this and this Olympic offering is another. Great job Steven and staff at the Colbert Report! If it needs to be said, I just made my donation.
