Well, that didn't take long. Less than a week after the Colbert Nation became the sponsors of the US Speedskating team, more than $200,000 has been raised, and the team were the victors at the recent World Cup of Speedskating. At this rate, the team won't just take gold at the Olympics, they'll start winning championships in other sports. Then they'll start winning at sports that don't even exist. My prediction for next year's Pantsball World Series? US Speedskating in five.

as a proud Vancouverite, Canadian, and avid Colbert Report viewer, I'd like to invite Stephen Colbert to join us here in Van City to watch us syrup sucking Canadians kick some Yankee butt. OK, I really don't follow speedskating to be honest, like most Canadians I'm more concerned about our hockey team, but dammit, the Dutch are going to be hosting a big party near the Oval at Heinken house, and it's gonna be good times here…Come on, you went to Iraq, how bad can Canada be?
Nicolle, according to what Stephen said this evening on Letterman, over $250,000 has been raised.
I am very interested on knowing how much has been contributed to the speedskating team by the Colbert Nation. Could you post a counter or ticker of sorts to allow we contributors to see our progress??
