<description>QUESTION FOR UPCOMING GUEST MONDAY NIGHT:

Erick Erickson is the managing editor of RedState.com, the largest online community of conservative activists and the most widely read right of center blog on Capitol Hill.

We encourage Colbert to ask Erick Erickson why he and other &quot;political &amp; conservative activists&quot; have chosen not to address the major misuse of state and Foundation funds authorized by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (and condoned by Governor Sonny Perdue as he may be working with them after his term expires). Perdue states he cannot do anything about their misuse of funds because they have &quot;exclusive authority&quot; to do what they want and there is no accountability.

Georgia Lt. Governor Cagle states: “There is still much to be done to shine a bright light on how Georgia spends taxpayer dollars, and I call on the Georgia Senate to continue to lead on this issue,” Cagle said.

It took a simple Georgia taxpayer – not a legislator or Erickson- to finally disclose (through the article below) the “exclusive authority” (quote by Governor Perdue) the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia has with millions of our state and Foundation funds. Over $7 million had been earmarked to just 7 USG presidents and chancellors.

There is more – much more.

Article by Jim Walls (former reporter at the Atlanta Journal) via Atlanta Unfiltered: University execs’ deferred pay, often hidden, tops $7 million on October 5, 2009 —
