From Indecision…
Everyone is so excited about this health care whatchamacallit, people have even started trying to get sick on purpose. On the way to work, I saw a man actually holding a rail in the subway. We don't have health care yet! Slow down, buddy! The question now is, will people be as excited once the death panels decide your grandma's apple pie isn't delicious enough to save her life? Only time will tell.
Speaking of the future (and very definite things that will happen in said future), Futurama has some pretty great health moments that you will care about. You all see what I did there? I took two completely separate things, health care and Futurama, and linked them together in your mind forever. It's something that no one (socialism) has ever (public option) done before. Anyway, here are some great Futurama medicalistic type clips.
Fry Meets Dr. Zoidberg
A few other clips from this list will deal with Dr. Zoidberg, so what better way to kick things off than with his first appearance. Dr. Zoidberg may be an alien, but that's no reason to discredit his medical expertise when it comes to human medicine. Let's keep an open mind here, folks. I mean, my doctor isn't even Jewish and I let him give me medicine.

M*A*S*H Circa the Year 3,000
If you're anything like me, whenever you watch the classic television series M*A*S*H, you wish Alan Alda was actually a robot. Well, thanks to Futurama, we both had our wishes granted.
Bender Becomes Human
Now that health care reform has been passed, a big concern that I just made up is that everyone is going to start living life haphazardly, relying on their coverage to rescue them from themselves. Pretty soon, people will becomes gluttons, eating cancer cakes for breakfast and candy covered in heroin for dinner. But as Bender proved in the second Anthology of Interest episode, living life to it's fullest sometimes means throwing caution to the wind and becoming a 4,000 pound Jabba the Hutt like creature. You know, a Midwesterner
Fry and Bender Go To a Robot Mental Institution
Mental health is just as important as the real kind of health. When Fry and Bender are both deemed criminally insane by a court, we find out what a mental institute for robots would look like; quite roboty.
Fry's Worms
Without a doubt, the episode that deals the most with health, Parasite Lost, is also one of the best Futurama episodes. After Fry eats a sandwich purchased at a restroom vending machine, parasitic worms get to work creating a newer, better Fry. The moral of the episode? Forget health care. Just eat crap you find at gas station restrooms.
