Late last year we told you Comedy Central had ordered a pilot for an as-yet-named show based on the Onion Sports Network. It sounded like a real home-run of an idea and a grand-slam opportunity to use a bunch of sports references. Well, gentlemen, start your engines, because the network has just announced they're teeing off the still as-yet-named program for series. Touchdown! Hattrick! Ace! Positive Jai Alai Term! Okay, I think I've gotten that out of my system.

So, when can you expect to see the show? I'm glad I asked. The initial run is expected to kick off (sorry, one more) in the first quarter of 2011 and will consist of ten episodes. Can't wait! In the meantime, here's a recent installment from the Onion Sports Network web series:
