Extended Redemption: Metal Club Musical Web Chat with Owen Benjamin Today

It's always nice to know you're not alone. Unless you intended to be alone, in which case it's frightening. But no one ever intended to be alone in their struggle for properly awarding high quality journalism wherever it prints. Luckily, the all-star likes of Tom Hanks, Ariana Huffington, Mario Batali and the President of Georgia are all rallying behind the noble cause you've quietly supported for years.

Under the banner of Americans for Fairness in Awarding Journalism Prizes, better known as AFAJP (pronounced like it's spelled, obviously), change is on the way. The organization, coincidentally, has been generating a lot of buzz this week alongside The Onion's release of its 1000th issue. Their goal? Get The Onion the Pulitzer Prize it has long deserved.

Beautiful famous people and average-looking regular people alike have joined the fight with urgent testimonies on YouTube and strongly-worded tweets marked with #OnionPulitzer.

Get informed by heading over to the Official AFAJP Tumblr (the blog host of choice for most urgent social causes) and read more from a somewhat reputable news source known as the "New York Times" here. It's time to wake up and smell the onions– stop the injustice today.
