Sometimes good stuff happens to bad people, like that time Kim Jong Il won the lotto. I'm still PO'd about that. But every once in a while, good things happen to good people, and this is one of those times.
It's just been announced that the hilarious Anthony Jeselnik has signed a development deal with Comedy Central that will see him starring in and executive producing a new series scheduled to shoot in early 2012.
Here's what head of original programming and development Kent Alterman had to say about the news:
"We are trying to reconcile how someone with such a dark world view can also be such a nice guy. We figured the best way to find out would be to develop a show with him."
Meanwhile, here's Anthony's reaction:
"At this point in my career, I feel like this is the best thing that could happen for Comedy Central."
We'll have more details about the new show as they materialized.
After the jump, you can watch a clip of Anthony Jeselnik doing stand-up and one of him roasting Donald Trump.
