Arizonans can put up all the fences they want, Gabriel Iglesias Presents: Stand Up Revolution is still getting in. The new Thursday night stand-up series was filmed at Phoenix’s newest comedy club, Stand Up Live, and features Gabriel Iglesias hosting every week with all new material. And he’s not the only one coming through; he’s bringing all his friends with him too.
"Everybody on the show is someone I’ve known for a very long time," Iglesias says in exclusive behind-the-scenes footage on the official Stand Up Revolution site. "And everybody’s funny." Comedian and long-time friend, Martin Moreno, is the show announcer and guest commentator, and three-time Grammy Award-winning band Ozomatli sits in as the house band.
Watch Gabriel recount his run-in with Immigration officers in Arizona in this preview of tonight’s series premiere.
Throughout the series, Mr. Fluffy's handpicked cast of comics will include vets like Thea Vidale and Maz Jobrani and up-and-comers like Cristela Alonzo and Noe Gonzalez. Tonight's premiere starts off with Fluffy's tourmate, Alfred Robles, making his television debut, and ends with Fluffy himself making his music video debut in "Hey, It's Fluffy," an original track Ozomatli wrote for the show.
You can check out exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and previews from Alfred Robles and Rick Gutierrez after the jump. And you can read an interview with Fluffy himself at Laughspin.
Gabriel Iglesias Presents: Stand Up Revolution premieres tonight and airs Thursdays at 10/9c.
