Laughspin informed us this week that Mike Birbiglia will kick off a sizable tour on January 20 to perform his one-man show, My Girlfriend's Boyfriend. We've been fans of Mike seriously since the beginning of time, when he was courting voluptuous young troglodyte women to varying levels of success and then etching self-deprecating recaps of his experiences on the walls of dank caves. Apparently Mr. Birbiglia is immortal, I just realized? Lucky SOB.

He's also hilarious (in case you've been living under a prehistoric rock), as evidenced by last year's Sleepwalk with Me Live–book, Broadway show, and forthcoming Sundance-featured movie all in one–and his verifiable record of stand-up awesomeness.

Obviously Mike's got it going on these days. I just hope lets his brother and consigliere, Joey Bag of Donuts, tag along for this tour as he's done in the past. Mike provides Joey stories in various bits, and from that we know Joey is indeed the second-Birbiggliest.
