The Democratic National Convention is a lot like the Summer Olympics in that it happens every four years and would be a lot more enjoyable if it included bowling. Well, still no bowling, but like Denver in 2008, Boston in 2004 and Los Angeles in 2000, The Daily Show team will be traveling to Charlotte for a whole week in September to broadcast from this year's convention.
"We are incredibly excited to spend a week in the beautiful city of Charlotte," said Daily Show Executive Producer Rory Albanese. "And to the good people of North Carolina, for their southern hospitality in hosting 125 smart-aleck New Yorkers, we offer in advance our thanks, but most of all, our apologies. Honestly, we didn’t mean to break that, and we promise we’ll pay for it."
The show will tape at ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center Tuesday, September 4 through Friday, September 7. The first batch of tickets are already gone, but check back here to see if more are released.
In the meantime, here are some highlights from the last convention:
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11/10c.
