Podcasts are like opinions and buttholes. Everyone's got one but very few are interesting enough to turn a profit. Which is why the interesting, funny and insightful podcasts deserve an award to call their own. Enter the 2012 Comedy Awards and their new category Best Comedy Podcast.

Comedy Award nominee Comedy Bang Bang started its life in 2009 as Comedy Death Ray Radio. Since its first episode, it's become one of the most popular podcasts on the Internet, drawing hilarious people like Zach Galifianakis and Paul F. Tompkins. It also spawned the podcasting network Earwolf. If you somehow have never heard an episode, here's  host Scott Aukerman to explain what it's all about…
