Patton Oswalt Probably Up to Some Comedic-Type Shenanigans
In today's Philebrity -- your only source for M. Night Shyamalan baby mama rumors -- a reader writes in with this nugget:
Any idea why I just saw Patton Oswalt in full mime white face and an Iggles jersery at the corner of 8th and Passyunk with a camera crew?
Actually, yes. And I'm forbidden to give details. But word has come down from our corporate overlords at Viacom that we are all expected to swear allegiance (you have not experienced exasperation until you have had to fill out all 59 pages of a corporate blood oath) to a highly secret operation called: King of Queens: The Orion Project. Let's just say that you will be seeing Patton Oswalt everywhere before too long.
How's that for furtive denial!

Finally! A Place For Ron Paul Supporters to Go That's Not Here
From Indecision 2008...
With
the Ron Paul Revolution currently in remission, and the mainstream
media conspiring to keep the Texas Congressman's failed presidential
campaign out of the headlines, what's an embittered Paulite to do?
Well, you've got a couple of options...
1. You can get behind the winning Republican candidate. (Unlikely.)
2. You can unclench your fists and relax. (Less likely.)
3. You can conduct late-night/early-morning conversations -- very possibly with yourself, using several different names -- about which high school teacher you'd most like to bang in the comments section of old Indecision 2008 posts about Ron Paul. (Been done.)
4. You can move to a faraway place where you never have contact with anybody else but other like-minded Ron Paul fanatics.
If that last one option sounds like the best one for you, then you need to get your ass to Paulville...
The goal of Paulville.org it to establish gated communities containing 100% Ron Paul supporters and or people that live by the ideals of freedom and liberty...
The community would be privately held by the co-op to establish private property for the general community thus preserving the community is 100% freedom and liberty lovers.
Why, that doesn't sound creepy at all! I'll bet that nobody gonna get murdered there. There in that secretive isolationist commune that demands nothing but your undying loyalty to the ideals of a single politician. My oh my, that sounds just like Heaven on Earth.
Extra special good news for you, Dell City, Texas. Because the very first Paulville community is moving in right next door to you!
The first Paulville based community purchace of land has happened! This land is in western texas a short distance from Dell City, Texas. The land is a 50 acre chunk of land, it is flat and level and ready to be developed. We have had a couple members that went to check out the area and took many photos of the area.
Why does rural Texas get all the luck?

Auditions for The Gong Show with Dave Attell
I'm excited about Comedy Central's new version of The Gong Show, because in 25 years we'll get to see a cool movie about how Dave Attell (played by Sam Rockwell, Jr.) juggled a secret life as a CIA operative while hosting the show. But you should be excited about the show because it's an opportunity to be on television, just like Ellen Burstyn in Requiem for a Dream!
If you think you have what it takes, here are the audition details:
Comedy Central and host Dave Attell are looking for the most unusual, absurd, bizarre, twisted and unique performers out there.
All acts are welcome to submit – cutting edge variety, stupid human tricks, stupid animal tricks, the more insane the better!
This summer series will be taping soon so don't miss the chance to have your act seen by millions as we celebrate the absurd!
To set up your live audition in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, call at 310.840.5721.

The Daily Show on Blogs, Then and Now
Last night's guest on The Daily Show was journalism professor David Perlmutter, author of a new book called Blogwars. Following his appearance, Perlmutter discussed the experience on the Oxford University Press blog. Here's some of what he had to say:
[I]nstead of making fun of bloggers as geeks and freaks Stewart himself stated that many talented people blog and that blogs were no longer a fringe phenomenon. That’s a significant leap from the past. Lets spin back to when that was not so. Bloggers recall the March 2004 segment of The Daily Show that made fun of blogs and blogging via a satirical segment on “$ecret$ of New Journalism $ucce$$.” Jay Rosen, an NYU professor and one of the early academic proponents of blogging was roundly skewered by a TDS correspondent.
To compare and contrast, here's the Rob Corddry segment in question (it was actually March, 2005), followed by last night's interview with Perlmutter after the jump.
