Congratulations no the critical recognition so well deserved for so long! South Park rules!

TO the people in charge at Comedy Central: How can you justify censoring an image of something some people would find offensive (South Parks image of Mohammed) then feel it's o.k. to broadcast other images wich other people would fing offensive (South Parks image of Jesus crapping on President Bush)? This is a cowardly act! South Park said it all. Everything is open to ridicule, or nothing at all. I will from this day forward hold Matt Stone and Trey Parker in the highest regard and you in the lowest.
Sincerely,
Wm. J. Sachs III

Comedy Central should be ashamed of themselves. It's a very sad day when even South Park caves in to Islam.

How can comedy central refuse to show muhamad? On top of that,in the same show let jesus crap on the president. I could smell the stench of hipocrisy through my television. So congratulations, no one in the middle east was offended, but I'm willing to bet most poeple here in the US who watch south park are. Who watches this network more? The people living in dirt shacks with no electricity on the other side of the world, or millions right here at home. I know I'm never going to watch comedy central ever again. The network should be more concerned about keeping the people who care about free speech happy, or they are going to loose a lot more viewers than just me.

Very cowardly act comedy central. Osama is proud of you.

Praise Allah X-)
This is the most rediculous censoring I have ever seen on a TV Show. I hope you guys in charge come to your senses and show the episode uncensored as soon as possible.

Dear spineless Cowards,
You can show Christ crapping on the president and the flag, but no image of the lieing false prophet of the turd people. You truly are the scum of the earth!

Doesn't anybody realize that censoring the image WAS Southpark?? That was an integral part of the plot of the episode...to have shown the image would have changed the frikkin episode!!
Its satirical commentary people!

PS: Congrats to Southpark on the Peabody!
Hopefully the genius of the show will become apparant to more and more people as time goes by.
I'd also like to point out that SP can go on forever because even though "the Simpsons Already Did It" there will always be people to mock!

I am completely shocked! This is blatant bigotry! The actions by the pigs @ Comedy Central mean they hold islam with higher regard than anything else. I am not a bigot, but if I can joke about Jesus, then I WILL joke about ho-mohammed. Remember, muslims & islam are not superior to anything. If they can't take a joke, fuck them and any other whiney bitch that cries when something hurts their feelings. WAKE UP AMERICA! Our way of life is being taken away! Will we just wait and watch it happen?

Wow! Matt and Trey are geniuses who exposed the hypocrisy and cowardice behind Comedy Central! Way to go, South Parkers! I shit on CC and their terrorist appeasal. I guess its OK to crap on Jesus and the President, but its not OK to show Mo? Yeah, don't forget to get the sand out of your ers when you pull your heads out.

Oh, bitch, bitch, bitch, moan, moan, moan. It won't be so bad when the Muslims conquer America, you whining little turds. In fact, judging by this, they already HAVE, so what are you complaining about? They're already in charge of the media - if they weren't, nobody would be afraid to show those cartoons. And it's only a matter of time before they take over the country and institute the religious rule that everybody's been praising as better than America for years now.
Hey, at least it won't be *Bush* putting up a theocracy, right?
Stop whining and get used to kissing Mohammed's ass. If you like your life, it'll be the only way to go on living.

...lol...Matt & Trey should put Aisha & Mo in every week...

Kwitch ur bitchin.
It'll be great fun living under islam. All the ugly American broads will have to be double-bagged in a black sack. You can marry four of em at once, beat the piss out of em if they don't swallow and then divorce em (no property settlements) when they start to put on weight. Sounds like paradise to me.

actually, that anti-wallmart site is obnoxious. not just because it trivializes the holocaust (i didn't bother to click over to its new incarnation in which it compares walmart to al qaeda. next thing you know these kids will be calling anyone who disagrees with them 'nazis'...wait a minute...) but becuase there's nothing "iconclastic" about sharing the same hatred with everyone you know and just about everyone in the mainstream media.
hate wallmart all you want with the same hypocricy (anti-globalists never had a problem with china's slavery and repression before it opened itsself to world markets. these things arte a-okay for them as long as a marxist-lenninist state remains nationalistic and isolated from the west) and upper-middleclass white kid angst as everyone else you know, but don't pretend that it makes you some kind of independent thinker. just bleat and carry your sign.

dave, you're wrong:
I'm not sure if it's been reported yet, but for what it's worth, I just got off the phone with a Comedy Central spokesman. I asked him about last night's episode of South Park in which, at a moment right before the prophet Mohammed was supposed to make a cameo, the words, "Comedy Central has refused to broadcast an image of Mohammed on their network" appeared on the screen.
"I asked him whether this truly was Comedy Central's decision or whether this was just another gag (with South Park, you never know). He said:
"'They reflected it accurately. That was a Comedy Central decision.'
Just in case there was any confusion, that settles it. Comedy Central censored the image....
"Comedy Central said in a statement issued Thursday: 'In light of recent world events, we feel we made the right decision.' Its executives would not comment further."

To be honest with you, I am more offended that the folks at C.C. would cave to Islam than I am at the degradation of my savior and my country's flag. Maybe there is something wrong with me, but my loyalty to C.C. , the watching of their shows, and purchasing of their products is over. The next thing you'll know they will be joining Tom and Issac praying to aliens.

How can a show paint so clearly all the right reasons for going ahead and showing Mohammed and have people so closely connected to it completely fail to grasp its message.
This kind of half-assed, unjustifiable censorship is going to simply continue causing grief until some later date when someone with actual ethical conviction does it right.
At that point the fundamentalist Muslims (not all of them, not by a long shot, just the whackos) will cause yet more hassle but, as images of big-M appearing in Western media become common they;ll finally grow tired of their tirade and move on to some other topic to foam at the mouth about.
CC decision didn't avoid the problem it simply postponed it resolution and extended the amount of time people have to suffer at the hands of intolerant fanatics.
This was the perfect medium for such a statement and a chance for common, everday Amercians to stand up for the beliefs the espouse so loudly by backing one of their most popular shows in the face of (quite literally) terrorist threats.
So sad to see such an opportunity squandered by some faceless executive who'll never be held accountable for their spinelessness.
SP should go totally independent and retail their shows direct over the net. Its one of the few shows whose quality is reliable enough that I'd pay for it.
