A reader sent this to us with the following note:
"A co-worker snapped this photo at a flea market over the weekend. I thought these might’ve been a little small for Mr. Colbert but I’m sending them in anyways in case he wants to lend them to Anderson Cooper."
(Do you have a comedy-related photo, tip, sighting or anecdote? Send it to us, and let us know if you want your name used.)

I think you need to interview Carlos Mencia. He said that he thinks the solution to the immigrant problem is for him to become president of Mexico and declare war on the U.S.A. This was during an interview on MSNBC. Not fun, not funny. Please clean your channel.

Didn't know how to get this message to Stephen, but I thought he'd like to know, we have a county named in His honor here in Alabama(though they don't know it, it could only belong to a man as patriotic as he). Check out their website:

Video of Stephen Colbert's interview with Robert Greenwald (talking about DeLay and his crimes)
is being hosted as the prominent feature of Tom Delay's defense fund site, where money is being
raised to help with his legal troubles.
I am sure that Stephen would be interested in asserting his copyrights here, or in the
case of supporting Tom DeLay, maybe Stephen be interested in making an endorsement
for DeLay's legal defense on his next show.
Clearly, Tom DeLay's best defense was outlined in that Colbert interview.
"He's not in prison. He didn't break the law."
"Is he being held in Gitmo? My understanding is that if you are in Gitmo, you are guilty.
If he is not there, probably he is innocent."
"Here's his mugshot, look at that smile. Would you smiling that hard if you were guilty of a crime."
http://www.defenddelay.com/
"Tom DeLay Legal Expense Trust was created to help Congressman Tom DeLay defend himself against frivolous charges filed against him. All funds collected will go to pay legal bills and other costs for matters that have been approved by the U.S."

Dear Stephen,
Bears:
A group of them is called a "sloth," as in, a sloth of bears.
What more proof is necessary that bears are the number one threat to hard-working, industrious Americans than this descriptive noun?
Thought you should know.

Colbert might consider THIS STORY: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2006/06/13/global-warming-may-turn-p_n_22887.html
as proof of a loving God.

Please Jon and Steven--we need a new show; AMERICAN CANDIDATE. Each week a group of 24 finalists who want to be President of the USA vie for America's votes by tackling impossible tasks and other candidatial things--the winner--selected by Americans--standard text messaging rates apply--will "win" a $1,000,000 war chest to launch a real LIVE presidential campaign covered through 2008. This is apprentice meets American idol where at last, real american choose their next president. Think about it. It could work. This will be on every news-stand in USA and around the world. TV Nation at last brings democracy into our living rooms.

Thanks Steven! Yes, after your chat with Mark Bowden my 9 year old can finally pronounce Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (keep trying). Your show, better than the 3rd grade and teaching our youth what they need to know!

How would a person get a great idea for a skit to Dave Chappelle?

Stephen Junior is in our custody
We have your bird, Stephen
Stephen Junior is being held by the Coalation of Canucks for Decent Humour. In case you do not believe us, here is a recent photo of him surrounded by some of our agents, he is the one calling for help…. (picture witheld for forwarding email to Stephen himself, anyone know where that is, I cannot find a contact address for him or his show anywhere)
We decided we had enough of another comedian who is really really bad at being funny. He is not. He is known as Rick Mercer, a Liberal Ontario native here in Canada. He thinks he is funny with that fake laugh track he uses from the Dharma and Greg Show, but he is not. He ripped YOU off Stephen. He has a show suspiciously called The Rick Mercer Report, the T is not silent. I think it only fitting that you invade Canada to take him out. If you want, you can take out a few of them Liberal fanatics too.
I am sure you will be willing to rid us of this lousy humour for the timely return of that cute little fellow, not to mention Rick is riding on your coattails, of which I know you do not like others riding on. When he is gone, you will get Stephen Junior Back.

As a female geek, I can sense in Stephen Colbert the genetic structure of extreme geekiness. It's not just the glasses; it's in his DNA. It's evident in the green screen challenge (STAR WARS...definite clue there), as well as in his references to D and D. He tries to hide behind the tie, but he is only a parallel universe away from living in his mom's basement, playing Tron.
I wrote a book called QUEEN GEEK SOCIAL CLUB. It's funny. I want to be on Stephen's show. I realize I have about as much of a chance of getting on the show as I would pursuing a professional modeling career (that would be zero), but I thought I'd play the geek card and see where it gets me. Either way, I love Stephen and his geeky ways.

Hey Stephen, I am from Oshawa. We have an increadable hockey history here. Hundreds of NHL players are or were from Oshawa. The Generals have had many famous stars come through the team on their way to the NHL. Ed Westfall, Marc Savard, Dave Andreychuck, and oh yeah, number 4 (thats Bobby Orr). I am unofficialy inviteing you to come to Oshawa, maybe you could do your show from our brand new state of the art ice hockey arena that just opened this year for the Generals. It is the Ontario Hockey League, you should see an OHL game played in Ontario. Plus we don't have any Republicans up here, and with our porous border, you'll have no problem getting here.
