An eagle-eyed (and, well, kind of annoying) Colbert Report fan was watching Fox News for some masochistic reason and found that Fox had taken Congressman Wexler's total-joke "cocaine and prostitutes are fun" statement out of context.
Here at "The Comedy Channel", we're about to have a heart attack and die of not-surprise.
Here's the actual video, with Stephen's coaching.

Thanks for the link. Sorry you found me "annoying." I got a lot of negative feedback on my narration. In my defense, I'd say:
1) I've only been youtubing for about week.
2) I made the mistake of doing thenarrating during while watching the typing narration, so my delivery ends up being slow and mechanical.
3) I have a bad microphone and I was too close to it. and
4) Believe it or not, I had a 102 degree fever during some of the weekend while producing this video
I'll trying to do better next time.
As for "watching Fox News for some masochistic reason," admit it, you watch it too ;-)
Thanks again for the link

Dear Stephen, AKA (Teddy Bear)
I do not watch Fox news since they only present the news that is approved by the White House. They are biased and untruthful.
They twist the truth to their liking and also never allow anyone of their guest to discuss their views unless they agree with what is being said. They are a shame to our country for those of us that want the truth in the news.I live your show and I even have given up watching Leno (which I like)in order to watch your show.Good job Stephen.By the way, your name sounds French!!! Do you eat Freedom Fries?

Dear Stephen, Why are you afraid to post the 'Moral Minority' video? It featured my congresswoman, Marilyn Musgrave, and I'm dying to show my friends who missed it.

Don't forget itunes for previous episodes. (Marilyn Musgrave). I don't have/want cable, so I watch TDS and TCR this way. It is great because I can reshow people the extra funny ones.

The total lack of humor that pervades the country right now is appalling. Given the state of our government and the world, it's all we have left! Say where AdAge blasted NBC/ABC for taking The Report to task. Buffoons! NBC/ABC, not AdAge. Here's my take on the dust-up:
So this is why Katie bailed

CC Insider = HYPOCRITES!!!! Nobody takes more things out of context than your fake news shows!!! Sure the shows are funny, but they do more harm to the fabric of the USA than anything else!!!!
I think taking things out of context on sensitive issues is wrong. The Show is funny, however, when you take things out of context people think the wrong thing. For example: Mr. Colbert showed that clip of the O'Reilly factor with different phrases taken way out of context and that is wrong. Because of things taken of these things being taken out of context, it has caused great political cautiousness, which causes the truth to not be answered. It's just stupid that politicians have to be careful of what they say. And because of that, they cannot be truthful and they only play games. This is said of our entire political system, but it is seen more so in liberals. Games should not be played, the USA and the rest of the free world is at war with islamic fundamentalism and liberals don't care about anything but themselves is how it SEEMS.
Libertarians unite and explode, Liberals need to be put out of their minority misery!!! Take over the democratic party so the USA can be fixed. Liberals are self-righteous and only care about themselves.

One day, this will be in every introductory Journalism 101 textbook (web-version only, of course).
This is beyond brilliant.
I almost feel sorry for Hannity& O'Reilly & Colmes.
Those rightwing dingbats still don't know that they are (metaphorically, of course!) on the 100th floor of the World Trade Center and it is 8:30 a.m. on 9.11.01 and American Airlines 11 is 16.5 minutes away from impact!

...every show posted that segment edited. I hate FOX, but c'mon. They didn't do anything wrong here.

I think it would have been wrong to NOT take that clip out of context. :)

This kind of situation - comedy interacting with reality - makes me agree with the person who called Stephen a modern-day Shakespearian fool:

Amateur or no I found your presentation enlightening. Now I know the reason I never watch FOX news, they suck. While I still found FOX's version humorous, the original footage was even more so. The clip raised my awareness and some questions about what other clips are taken out of context on FN. It seems pathetic when you can get more facts about the news from Comedy Central than a "news" channel. Hooray for Stephen Colbert and for your clip. Keep up the good work.

Is it true that John Mark Karr's aquittal of all child molestation charges means he can no longer run for office on the Republican ticket?

Its no wonder why the above comments creator is named Peter Jack. First thing is you insult most of America to say they are too dumb to understand the News. The comedy shows expose how unbelievable the politicians are. They don't care about telling us the truth. All they worry about is their jobs(Legacy). Being in service to your country should be your first thought not your career thought. If Comedy Central didn't make me laugh I would probably cry.
