Our Token Conservative, Michael Brendan Dougherty...
The buzz I'm hearing from a friend, and a totally unconfirmed White House source (remember Comedy Central doesn't have journalistic standards), is that Rumsfeld will be out of the administration tomorrow.
This is a shocker even to the totally unnamed source in the White House. Already, we are seeing reports of a White House Press conference scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m. Could this be it?
Should you trust me? Well, earlier I broke the news (from a reliable mother) that Sue Kelly would lose in the New York 19th. And now even True Republican believer K-Lo at National Reviews's The Corner, is saying that Sue Kelly is a loser.
Suck it, Drudge!

Maybe I'm wrong here but it seems to me he basically hasn't been coming to work for the last 4 years so what is changing tomorrow?

STEWART-COLBERT '08 !!!!!!!!!
there is a great idea for a upcoming cross-show series leading up to the 08 election. Wonder how many 'write-in' votes you guys get...

I'd write in Jon Stewart, his comedy requires intelligence so he's already more qualified than most. I would be a little apprehensive with Steven Colbert, intelligent yes, but he might take himself a little too seriously ;-P)
It would be an excellent race though....California will still hold the most obsurd elected official award, twice now...let's add Jerry Springer on the ticket somewhere, he's a qualified and experienced elected official...;-P)

No more rummy DOD groupies for Rummy. Too bad. Nice job on the scoop. Showing the boorish hacks how it's done. And yes, Drudge can suck it. And Harris, and DeLay, and Bush, and...

At first, when I heard the news that the Dems were winning elections big time, I felt joy.
Then my training in political science took effect and the words of Franklin D Roosevelt came to fore:
"In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."
The next scene to appear in my thinking was the Millennium Falcon escaping from the Death Star and Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca clapping hands celebrating. Remember Princess Leia's warning to them? "It was too easy. They let us go." And sure enough, there was a tracking device on the Falcon to guide the way for Darth Vader's force to follow to the home planet of the rebel force.
The tight elections (VA, Montana for ex) could easily have been thrown. This is a Machiavellian ploy worthy of Rove. Be warned, be warned.

what if the elections were thrown to build our confidence in the electronic voting consiracy, er i mean process.
