Margaret Cho Joins Board of Vibrator Company

Cho You probably know Margaret Cho as the fearlessly liberal standup who does a funny imitation of her mom. But she'd like to know you as the owner of a shiny new dildo. As the San Francisco Gate reports, Cho is now on the board at the sex-toy company Good Vibrations:

I realized that while her e-mail answer to my question, "Why did you become a Good Vibes board member?" was glibly answered with "Because it seemed fun!," her motivations for hooking up with the oldest West Coast women-run sex-toy store were as complex and thoughtful as the subtexts beneath her sassy, raunchy and biting stand-up shows. And when I finally did get to ask her, "You work in Hollywood. How will you react if people judge you for aligning with a sex-toy and porn store?," her reply was simple yet firm: "I don't care what they think. What Good Vibrations represents is important. If you're queer, you're an activist, that's just the way the world is now. You have to be because there's so much homophobia, so much hatred in the world towards us. You know, other Hollywood people just give money to charities. This is how I serve my communities."

Hilari-List: Tiddy Bear Picnic!

(Hilari-list is the name I just made up for my daily list of funny links. It is intentionally lame, but the links won't be! Unless they are.)

* Video: Are You Kidding Me? Products in Need of a Name Change (I actually think that in the case of the Tiddy Bear, they are kidding, but it's still funny. Also, Nads never get old.)

Interview: The Daily Show's Samantha Bee

Bee Last week, Cracked's Jeffrey Felshman interviewed Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee. They discussed being Canadian, laughing at interview subjects and her husband and fellow correspondent Jason Jones:

Did you get Jason his job at The Daily Show ?

No, contrary to popular belief. I don't know if there's a television show in the history of television shows in which you could actually do that. “Yeah, you know what? My husband's really good. Can he have a job?” “Sure!” Like it's so easy to get jobs in television, you can just like nominate someone and then they get the job.

Do you like working together, or do you see each other too much?
Actually, we kind of like working together because it's really the only time that we're together without the baby, although we do have the baby here today, so I shouldn't say that. So, needless to say, there's a lot of making whoopee at work. We like to christen every room. Everyone just gets out of our way. They part like the Red Sea when they see us coming.
