Hey Spenny,
Will you be talking with your fans on this blog/thread/comment thing? Or do you mainly hit the message-boards?
Just curious, thanks!

I LOVE YOU SPENNY!
I'm so sorry you feel like you have to respond to those creeps who write vile, nasty things about you.
Rise above it. You have MANY MANY fans and we don't degrade you or Kenny. Oh and most of us are literate!!!!
Love, Gungagin

I've just finished watching Pitch and HOLY CRAP Spenny looked like a male model back then. Not saying he doesn't look hot now (he does of course, as does Mr Hotz) but BLOODY HELL Spenny was absolutely stunning back then.

Posted by Soowarrior | Apr 19, 2008 10:04:27 AM

Spenny you are one of those up tight white guus right? You take everything to seruoisly. Kenny lives life to have fun, it seems you live life to act ass you have something perminetly up your ass. Take that rod out because the only real compitition was sticking a hotdog up your butt, and that was really pretty gay. So not being so up tight, and relax, and have fun with what your doing.

Thank you, Michael Soule, for proving my point.

Sugar,
I'll be reponding here from now on.

Posted by spenny | Apr 20, 2008 1:25:45 PM

Hey Spenny, I was wondering why you chose to edit the "Who can catch a bigger fish?" episode so that it showed who won in the beginning? Also, did you guys ever talk to Gregory Finkell, from Pitch?

Posted by Lauren | Apr 20, 2008 3:56:36 PM

YO spenny...hows it goin?

Posted by tyjj22 | Apr 20, 2008 7:15:23 PM

Re: Fishing Comp: At the end of filming we go into the edit and we try to create the most engaging show for the viewer. We felt because of Kenny's scummy strategy that that particular episode would be more intersting in a non-linear format. We see each episode as a mini-film and we sometimes mould the edit to suit the material. It's a subjective thing.

Re: Greg Finkell: No we never heard from him. My guess is that he left the industry. And Greg, if you happen to read this....F#*K YOU!!!

Michael,
Yes, I suppose I'm "one of those uptight guys". I don't live to have fun. I like to have fun but I also have serious things going on in my life, least of which is KVS. And sorry to disappoint your masurbatory fantasies but I don't have anything permanently up my ass...but thanks for the advice though.

Spenny,I cant believe you responded to my comment, thank you very much.p.s. I totaly understand you not wanting to be anywhere near Kennys stinky ass.I'm sorry if I spelled anything wrong.(not very good)

Is anyone else sick of Kenny's cheating? I am and I'm done watching the show because I'm tired of watching the cheating. It makes the humiliation worthless since it isn't honest. I would like to watch a REAL competition between those two. I honestly don't find Kenny funny whatsoever when he cheats.

Posted by Jason Gerhardstein | Apr 20, 2008 11:49:35 PM

Yo Spenny
How do you always manage to keep on the right path were you raised that way or is it in your contract
personally i think you should cut corners every once in a while
but hey if your a christian your going straight to the gates

Spenny, i totally stick up for you on youtube via comments and as a former fan of Kenny I appreciate your good natured strategies and support you 100%. Together, we can bring Kenny down!

Posted by shawn ruby | Apr 21, 2008 12:08:12 AM

i think u deserve every single humiliation u have done, spenny. u r an idiot...u KNOW kenny will cheat his way through EVERY challenge, and yet u dont defend against it. develop a criminal mind and stop whining, u might beat him @ his own game. if i were on the show with kenny i would be willing to do 10 humiliations every time i lost....BECAUSE I WOULDNT LOSE TO MR HANKY!!! (walking, talking turd)

Posted by mike | Apr 21, 2008 12:10:04 AM

what is up Spenny! How do you stay sane doing this for a living? How do you recharge after shooting however many episodes locked up in a house with psycho boy?

Posted by Aaron | Apr 21, 2008 12:11:59 AM

I like Kenny ALOT( because he's FUNNY and REALLY smart, but not in that way, alright)and I think your alright. You think most of Kenny's fans are gross and that's not true! I would NEVER say anything like that!

Posted by Katie | Apr 21, 2008 12:21:35 AM

spenny you are the coolest!
and that ass hole kenny cheats everytime.
that just pisses me off so much. i root for you in every episode.

In my personal opinion, Kenny is a jacka*s! I mean really who in the world is that retarded! Good God! No offense if you are a Kenny fan or friend but I just can't stomach him. Can a person really be that cruel and vindictive? Aparrently so. I give kudos to Spenny for not offing the guy yet, you have the patience of a saint in the least! In the long run as a person or father (per the baby episode) my money is on Spenny, any time any day. ROCK ON SPENNY!! You'll get yours!

Posted by AshF. | Apr 21, 2008 12:52:38 PM

Katie,
I retracted my statement that ALL Kenny's female fans are loose and unclean. Most are...but not all. I'm sure you're an exception.

Mason,
I have cut corners in the past but it just doesn't work for me. My late father taught me to play by the rules. Once, when I was 12, I stole a poster from a movie theater and my father took me to the theater and forced me to return it. He was a good man.

I realize we lve in a culture that lionizes the bad behavior, but for better or ill, I'm just not built that way.

So, for those of you who want me to cheat, it most porbably won't happen. I believe that by documenting Kenny's cheating, many among you will realize that he actually isn't winning -- even if I do the humiliation.

I have written a lot about this stuff on the older CC Insider stream:
http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/cc_insider/2008/02/new-spenny-vide.html?cid=104749386#comment-104749386
Feel free to go back and read.

Jason,
Of course I'm sick of Kenny's cheating but beleive me when I tell you he will never stop.

To Everyone (including Mike): It really makes me feel good to know that I have some support out there. Thanks.

Hi Spencer!

Has this new video really been up since April 1st and we've just been posting on the old one all this time? Oops! Are you able to tell those of us outside of the U.S. what the dildos comment was or is that top secret Comedy Central knowledge?

I was sorry to see that in your post to Mason you mentioned that your father had passed away. I had meant to ask you about him since you guys often mention that your fathers were friends and you often talk about your mom, but never your dad. I had thought that you might have been estranged since he's never really mentioned (although I do remember you yelling at Kenny on a cell phone about trying to give your dad a heart attack on something I watched - maybe it was a clip from Pitch?). I have fortunately not experienced the death of a parent yet, although I lost someone very close to me from cancer and think of him almost everyday. If your father taught you about sticking to your values and not succumbing to the temptation to cheat he must have been a wonderful man!

I did have a quick question for you about your mom actually. I just wondered what she thought about the show. I saw the Rat Race episode the other day and forgot that she was on the show but didn't want to be shown on air. I'm sure she's proud of you in many ways but what does she think of some of the things you guys do (the weiner comes to mind here!)? The same question occured to me when you came out with "Wanker" - it would take a special mom to say to her friends, "Let's go see my son's movie about porn addiction!" ;)
Also, does she even speak to Kenny after all of the nasty things he has said about her over the years?

By the way, I know you mentioned in the last blog stream that there weren't actually that many people on here. I don't recognize most of the names here so it looks like you have a new crop of fans! :)

Posted by Lisa | Apr 21, 2008 9:01:59 PM

Spenny, you must stay strong against the dark side (Kenny). He is the one who is slowly losing his mind to ego and arrogance. Out of the two of you guys, he will be the first to sell out and lose his way. Maybe instead of succumbing to cheating like everyone else is suggesting, you should definitely use more of the high tech security that you have visited in the past. This way you can have security measures for every new challenge. Think like Kenny to stop Kenny's sabotage and it would make each episode more dynamic.

Posted by Aaron | Apr 21, 2008 11:16:42 PM

Well I'm not really sure what to say, sooo... I'll just say I'm kinda sorry, I guess.(-_-')

Posted by Katie | Apr 22, 2008 1:20:09 AM

Let me reassure you, Spenny, there are a great deal of highly literate people who root for Kenny each episode. I being one.

I believe you did put a frozen hot dog up your ass.

Hi Spenny,

I wouldn't take such posts for real, I mean such posts to which you are making a statement here ;). Lot's of people are just stupid and write a lot of bullshit when they are bored.

However nice to see something new from you. I hope you guys will make a new season very soon.

Posted by deltaray | Apr 22, 2008 6:52:04 AM

Well Spenny I am glad you have and stick to your values. There isn't many people who do. It is very sad to think that in this huge world very few are honest or sincere. I try myself to see the world like that old song "What a wonderful world", but people make it hard to see the beauty and moral things in life. I encourage everyone who reads this to just stop and let the world go and think of all the things that are truely wonderful and beautiful, whether it be the bird singing outside your window, content and happy in its own short but meaningful life or the father and son at a ball game smiling and basking in their happiness. You might think I am stupid or nieve but I don't care, it dosen't matter to me what the world thinks, as long as I am happy no one can kill my joybuzz!-Ash.

Deltaray,
you are a typing irony, people post alot of bullshit when they are bored but didn't you do the same thing, in saying people are posting bullshit and nice to see something new from spenny? Not being mean just the truth.-Ash

Posted by AshF. | Apr 22, 2008 3:17:10 PM

Let all fans agree to disagree! Whether you like Kenny or Spenny either way its a great show! Why does everyone have to be so negative?

Posted by AshF. | Apr 22, 2008 5:12:37 PM

Deltaray,
ignore my comment to you, i had a blond moment and understood to what you were referring, sorry man!

Posted by AshF | Apr 22, 2008 5:15:09 PM

Well spenny you should be trying to have a little more fun. It might acculay get your show better ratings. Kenny is the only reason i watch the show. The polls you have, well i pay a guy to keep pressing kenny for the winner, so hopfully on the show you will get pissed off. I bet you dont even have a girlfirend, when was the last time you had a man to slap around? Well if i where you, and thank god i wont bee in your place when im older, i would stop being so serouis, and have fun, because if not, your not goin to have shit when you pass away.

is there a comment board for kenny?

Posted by mike s | Apr 22, 2008 11:46:14 PM

I've seen Kenny post on IMDb, he posted some pretty funny stuff too.

I just have to say keep up the good work! Even though the show really does seem scripted at times (not saying that it is or isn't) it is still a blast!

I remember first seeing the show mentioned at IMDb for "TV shows with explicit sex" (Who Can Make A Better Porno). I tried to torrent the episode but never got around to it. I saw it on YouTube a little bit ago and I love the series.

I have a question about "Donna Maloney" (the girl in Who Can Kiss More Girls). She seems like she was scripted because she has been in other film work and it would be weird for a complete stranger on the show to also have film credits -- so what gives?

Finally, how many "groupies" do you get from the show? I'd assume they will start rolling in soon, just always remember to wear a condom!

Posted by Stexe | Apr 23, 2008 3:08:07 AM

Oh, forgot one last comment.

Who cares if you like Kenny or Spenny more? They are both core elements and compare and contrast so well that it is a perfect fit. I can't pick one over the other (although in some episodes I do have a favorite, but it changes every episode depending on what is happening).

After 4 seasons the show seems to be getting a little dry, what do you have planned to "spice it up"? You can't really introduce any new characters, so are you just "upping" the ante for contests or what?

Posted by Stexe | Apr 23, 2008 3:10:57 AM

AshF,
People are negative because the show has that dynamic. It would make sense that Kenny fans share his meaness -- I suppose it's a kind of bully mentality. And also, message boards and the Internet in general breeds this kind of anonymous opinions where there is no accountability. I'm fine with it. I put myself on TV and that kind of thing goes with the territory...especially with a show like KVS.

Michael S.,
We've done 64 shows, dude. I've whipped, punched, cracked his rib, bitch slapped and through my poo in Kenny's face. Not that I generally approve of violence, but sometimes I can only take so much. Don't worry about me and keep watching.

Yes there is a comment board for Kenny. Check the Comedy Central Website.

Stexe,
I had no idea Donna was an actor until later when a fan told me. Maybe that's what attracted to the cameras in the first place?

Re: Groupies: There's no question being on television gets me extra attention but I never had trouble attracting women before. And yes, safe sex is important.

We're looking at various ways of "spicing up" the next season -- we're doing 10 more. The trick will be not to change it too much.

Posted by spenny | Apr 23, 2008 11:30:40 AM

Spenny,
Well I guess your right. But still, it has to be hard putting up with the abuse, but I'm sure the money helps! lol! Will you buy me a pony! haha, just kidding. Do you donate to charities? I donate alot to the A.S.P.C.A. I completely believe in animal rights, you know, help those who can't help themselves, I include animals in that. What are your views on animal rights??-AshF.

Posted by AshF. | Apr 23, 2008 12:34:05 PM

Do you have a myspace spenny? -AshF

Posted by AshF. | Apr 23, 2008 12:49:17 PM

AshF,
I support animal rights to a point. I think some experiments on animals, though unseemly, are important. I think some of the activists go way too far in my opinion. I'm not a vegetarian, so I'm always trying not to be hypocritical, and that can be a challenge in this day and age.

I don't have a Myspace or Facebook page but am hoping to have a website up and running relatively soon.

To be honest I'm not that charitable. I went through volunteer phase a few years back. It was somewhat satifying but ultimaltely left me feeling that it was pointless. I recently gave some money to Katrina victims and Doctors Without Borders...but nothing spectacular.

Posted by spenny | Apr 23, 2008 1:45:43 PM

Another quick question. Do you consider Kenny a friend or more of a co-worker? It seems you were willing to leave him a few times in the show because of what he has done and when you believed that you could have "made it big in Hollywood."

Also, how did Kenny manage to steal a multi-thousand dollar piece of X-Ray machinery to "x-ray" you until you got "radiation sickness"? Seems far fetched.

Thanks! It is great you keep in contact with your fans, it really brings a sense of loyalty to all of us out there! =)

Posted by Stexe | Apr 23, 2008 5:02:35 PM

Stexe,
I've known Kenny my entire life...he's like the brother I never wanted. We both have projects outside the KVS franchize and realize that one day KVS will end. That is not a relection of our friendship, but of the busienss we're in.

Re: X-Ray" I've written a lot about it in past blogs. Go back to old blogs for more details. I don't know how Kenny stole it, other than what I you saw, but the machine didn't work. I was sick from something I ate. There has been confusion about that epsiode.

Posted by spenny | Apr 23, 2008 5:31:27 PM

Ah, gotcha. I see you read a lot of books, what is your favorite?

Have you ever gotten back with any of the girls that seem to leave at the end of the episode? And what was your "problem in bed" if your size wasn't an issue? You don't have to answer that if you don't want to, just curious why you would cut her short, lol. :-P

When/if KvS ends, will you and Kenny still stay close? Would the pranks stop, i.e. does he just do the pranks for the show, or does he do it to you when the cameras are off?

Posted by Stexe | Apr 23, 2008 5:44:56 PM

Also, how much of the show is really just editing? I can see how the x-ray machine was just set up in editing. Is a lot of the show changed due to editing reasons?

Posted by Stexe | Apr 23, 2008 6:54:52 PM

Spenny, what public figure from anytime do you consider your hero? Why?

Posted by Aaron | Apr 23, 2008 11:19:37 PM

Hi Spencer,

I noticed that you've been on again answering questions. I was still wondering about my question about what your mom thinks about the show. It's the only post I've done on this stream (other than this one of course!)and I believe it was on the 21st if you're not sure what I'm talking about.

I've noticed that the vibe of this stream seems to be a little more negative/hostile than the last one so I hope that you don't get frustrated and give up on us!

I'm not sure if you're environmentally minded at all but I hope you had a good Earth Day yesterday - as with everything else in life it's becoming commercialized but at least it draws attention to the fact that if we don't live green everyday we can do it for at least one day. I took my class out to clean ditches - I figure if they do it now they're less likely to be litterbugs later in life. (And for some reason at this age they really enjoy running through ditches and picking up gross stuff and talking about their "best finds" after!)

Lisa

Posted by Lisa | Apr 23, 2008 11:22:19 PM

Lisa,
My mother, for obvious reasons is not a fan of the show. She can't watch it. She hates the stuff Kenny says about her and the general tone. I realize that the "mother joke" is an iconic insult, but when you're the mother, I certainly understand her discomfort. It bothers me but there's nothing I can do short of punching him out. Kenny claims he’s going to lay off the mother jokes, but we'll see if he actually will. Also, she doesn't like seeing me in humiliating positions, which unfortunately for me, is the bread and butter of KVS. But I don't do the show for my mom, and would never let her, or anyone else’s opinion get in the way of what we do.

Stexe,
Sometimes it's unavoidable, but generally we try to keep the edits true to what happened. Maintaining reality is very important to what we do.

Re: Books: I have a list of books that I love on the old thread – you can check it there. But here are a few off the top of my head: Denial of Death, Rabbit Is Rich, Confederacy of Dunces, Autobiography of Malcolm X, Gulliver's Travels, Oliver Twist, Nixon (by Stephen Ambrose) and A Fine Balance.

And yes, Kenny and I will probably always be friends until we die. As I've said, the dynamic on the show could be likened to competing politicians and athletes; that is, we have our game faces and then we have our real life faces. We’re able to separate the two.

Aaron,
Public Figures: Churchill, Chaplin, Nixon, Gretzky, Tiger Woods, FDR, Reagan, Lincoln, Judy Garland, Lennon, Mao, Hendrix, Freud, Groucho, W.C. Fields, Margaret Thatcher, Einstein, Muddy Waters, Orson Wells, Dickens, Swift, Ernest Becker, Twain, Pierre Trudeau, Jesus and Ayn Rand.

Posted by spenny | Apr 24, 2008 12:39:58 PM

Spenny, you are the man and I love watching your show. It's also real cool of you to come on here and be so personable. Yes, Kenny's a jackal and a jackass, but that's why we watch. Have you ever thought.. about maybe once.. just this one time... to throw kenny off... and "out-wit" him the way he out-wits you? I mean c'mon you owe him a revenge humiliation or something? Don't you? Get some rufies and take him out into the desert or something creative! lol. Keep up being such a damned good sport.

Posted by Elias | Apr 24, 2008 10:35:52 PM

Spencer,

Thanks for the answer. I can relate to the mom not being comfortable with the job. Before I went into my current profession I worked in what most would consider a high risk occupation and it was just not discussed by those close to me - it stressed them out too much I suppose.
I hate doing this but it seems to be easier for you to answer more than one question if they're numbered so here it goes:

1) Has your mom ever watched any episode and if so which one? Has she seen your other work and your new film?
2) You have a very diverse list of public figures in the last post and I noticed Aaron had also asked why you admire these people. Would you be able to give us a 1-2 sentence reason why you admire each of them? I know that may take some time since you have quite the list but some of us really do enjoy reading your longer posts involving your views on different topics so it would be interesting.
3)On the 23rd you posted that you guys are doing 10 more shows - can you actually confirm that yet or is it still speculation (ie - no contract yet)?
4) I know you said in the last stream that you didn't feel that you really wanted to promote your latest film here but I know that some of us would really appreciate it if you could direct us to where we would be able to find out about its general availibility/distribution so we could actually see it.

Thanks!

Lisa

Thanks Spenny for answering my question. I think the fact that you respond so promptly to your fans, proves that you are a pretty good dude.

Posted by Aaron | Apr 24, 2008 10:43:05 PM

I agree with a previous post from Stexe. Clearly Kenny and Spenny together make the show, and it wouldnt be great without both of them together. At times I'm definitely more of a fan of Kenny, and at other times more of a fan of Spenny. I'd like to point out though that, from reading this blog, I have a huge new respect for you, Spenny. You've shown your intellect, down to earth personality, and caring nature for your fans...something I haven't seen as much from Kenny.

Posted by Lauren | Apr 25, 2008 12:02:18 AM

Spenny, Well I personally don't go overboard activist with animals, I eat meat and I love it. I just don't approve of people abusing, neglecting, or experimenting on animals, I mean you know a soap will hurt the hell out of your eyes but if ya get a little in there just flush it, I don't agree to the mundane things like that, now if some experiment was going to save someone's life then I am all for it. Well even though you didn't stick with charitible things, the thought is still there, you still donated your time a while back. Most people wouldn't even do what you have, so Good Job! I wasn't tring to guilt you or anything about it, really please don't think that was my intention.

Now the important question, what are your thoughts on Chinese Food?? lol. But really though, I heard that your helping make a family show, is that true?-AshF.

Posted by AshF. | Apr 25, 2008 9:22:19 AM

Lisa,
1. She's seen the show, but doesn't watch it regularly. And I can't say I blame her.
2. Respectfully, I don't want to answer this one. It would seem glib to comment in a couple of sentences, and too much writing to give the many reasons each deserves. Suffice to say, based on my experience of them through books and media, I would like to be able to discuss with them their lives and the great issues of the day. And add Bob Dylan and Stephen Hawking to the list. I'd hate to think of the many I've left out.

3. It's official. We're doing ten more shows.

4. My movie, since its premieres in the U.S.and Canada, is in the process of getting theatrical and DVD distribution. Beyond that, for those of you in Canada, it will be shown on TMN and Movie Central on a date to be announced relatively soon. A U.S. television window has not been acquired yet, but will hopefully soon. These things take time.

Posted by spenny | Apr 25, 2008 9:54:22 AM

AshF,
I think you're talking about a comedy kid series I created called STUMP. We shot a pilot and I've written a bunch of scripts. Currently I'm waiting to see of it will get picked-up by the Network. If it does, we'll be shooting next summer.

Posted by spenny | Apr 25, 2008 9:59:50 AM

That's cool! Can you say what it's about or is it a need to know kinda thing? I think it is great that nowadays there are more shows geared towards kids. When we were kids there were some greats, Thundercats, Transformers, oh so many greats. I think the new generations need better shows.

Posted by AshF. | Apr 25, 2008 12:07:34 PM

Are you an NHL fan? This my friend is a very important character question in my opinion. lol.

Posted by AshF. | Apr 25, 2008 2:14:16 PM

AshF,
My kid's show is a comedy about a struggling high school garage band. It's loosely based on some of my experiences in terrible bands when I was in school. The series centers around the lead singer, Ryan, who, perhaps mistakenly, thinks he has what it takes to be a rock star. Adding to that, the band he forms with the school's bad boy, his nerd best friend and a tom boy girl don't actually know how to play music. The stories revolve around Ryan trying to balance the demands of school, home and the band, and poses the question as to whether Stump (the band) will ever get better and eventually make it in some capasity.

Re: NHL: Of course I like the NHL..I'm Canadian. But I do think the League over-expanded and it's hurt the quality of the game. I can remember when there were only 14 teams.

Either way, hockey is a great sport and probably my favorite to watch live. I went to a Habs game about a year ago and a Kings game a few months back. If the Leafs win the Cup in my lifetime, that would be FANTASTIC!!!

Posted by spenny | Apr 26, 2008 12:20:58 PM

Spencer,

Another season is
