Is Oliver Stone's Bush Movie a Comedy?

Ostone In what would be his first foray into the genre, Oliver Stone's upcoming biopic about President Bush may actually be a comedy. Stone plans a Being There-style movie about "the story of a guy who had very limited talents in life, except for the ability to sell himself."

I think we all agree that "comedy" is the first thing that comes to mind when we think about the President, especially when paired as a word association with "tragedy."

We might look at some elements of the past 7 years and see how they translate to comedy:

Intelligence failures leading to invasion of Iraq
They meant to invade Iran, but the intelligence report was smudged so the "n" looked like a "q"

Bungled federal response to Hurricane Katrina
Bungled response to a surprise party for Barbara and Jenna

A young Bush gets drunk and crashes his car
An older Bush gets sober and crashes his country
