Amy Poehler is easily amongst the funniest women on TV, and now she's leaving television forever.

"Amy was excited to return to SNL for a surprise visit and will also

appear on next week's show before officially departing to focus on her

new NBC sitcom," Lewis Kay told the Daily News.

Oops. What I meant to say is, she's leaving television for now. Why can't she just do both shows? I mean, she was developing Smart Girls at the Party while working on SNL. Doing the not-quite The Office spin-off while performing for SNL (and also continuing her charming web series) shouldn't be too hard, right?

The 37-year-old comedienne previously announced that she planned to leave the show after Archie's arrival.

Oh, right, her offspring or whatever. Can't she just hire an au pair? I'm actually not too sure what an au pair is, but I always hear rich people use them for raising their kids and cheating on their spouses. I assume a good au pair can do both at the same time.

I guess I'll just have to wait patiently until Amy Poehler returns with her hotly anticipated new sitcom. Until then, at least there's like a gazillion clips of her being funny online.
