Carlos Mencia is a busy guy. He's got a new season of Mind of Mencia coming May 21 and right before that he's got an all-new one-hour stand-up special airing on Comedy Central May 18 at 9pm EST/PST. It's called Carlos Mencia: Performance Enhanced, and we've got three exclusive clips from the show.
The website Southeast Texas Live has a bite-sized interview with Carlos Mencia up today. Here's a little bit:
Question: You have 17 siblings. And you're the
second youngest. You, your siblings, and the grownups all HAD to be
funny with a family that large. Who else comes to mind in your family
as having a good sense of humor and what is that sense of humor?
Answer: My dad. Period. By far the funniest. I am a younger version.
Here at the CC Insider, we get a lot of email from our users with valuable feedback on how we can stop f**king around and start giving the people what they really want to see. And let's be honest, we can't read every one, but every week we get some gems that we have to pass on to Executive Insider, our beloved leader for his thoughts. Every week on Thursday he'll be greenlighting some of your ideas*, so who knows, this could be your big shot!

‘Sup John. Summer is winding to an end, and like all great seasons, I like to end each summer with a quiet weekend spent in my library, smoking my pipe and catching up on my Chaucer. I like to think of it as getting ready for the rigorous mental season ahead. It’s an old habit from boarding school.
In that great tradition, I want to thank you, John, for your reasonable and intelligent criticism. And thanks, as well, for leaving your contact info for Carlos, I’ll make sure that he’s dispatched post-haste so you can continue your conversation in rarified surroundings of your home. Thanks!
Formerly "that guy on NewsRadio, turned Fear Factor host and most recently known as "the guy that hates Carlos Mencia," Joe Rogan's got his own stand up to deliver, via his upcoming CD release: Shiny Happy Jihad. Our friends at Punchline Magazine have reviewed it here: "On Jihad (his first album in nearly seven years) Rogan proves he has an amazing charismatic presence— an energy and a voice that prods, if not a hearty belly laugh, then some vigorous reaction from his audience. It’s this part of his personality that makes it so easy to agree with Rogan’s wild theories. “I think that people used to be really, really, really smart,” he says. “But the dumb ones just outf@cked the smart ones. I think we are all the bastard children of the idiot stone workers of Egypt.” [E]ven Rogan does girls-are-different-than-boys jokes. Most times, however, they’re dressed in subplots, like when he contrasts men and women by exploiting Islamic terrorists’ belief that their ultimate sacrifice yields an afterlife with 72 virgins. “P#ssy is so strong that there are dudes willing to blow themselves up for the highly unlikely possibility of p#ssy in another dimension,” he explains. “You know how f@cking crazy that is? There’s nothing that’s got that kind of power. D!ck isn’t even in the ballgame. There are no chicks alive willing to blow themselves up for d!ck. You offer 72 d!cks to a chick, you’re gonna have a real short line of dirty transvestites with deep wrist scars.”
Carlos Mencia answers a few pressing questions on the road during his Punisher Tour, including "What's up with the Ned thing?" and "Would you do a Holocaust joke at the Simon Wiesenthal Center?" Seriously.
I know I'm on TV but I don’t really look at myself like that. I am really always amazed when people tell me that they think I am funny or that I influence their lives in a positive way.
Today I found out this kid on you tube, DameGreyWulf, who combined “Mind of Mencia” and some dog cartoon to create some of the funniest shit I’ve seen in I don’t know how long. I haven’t laughed and cried that hard in a long time. This kid is only 15 years old…check it out.
