Flight of the Conchords new self-titled record debuted at Number 3 on Billboard. They've crushed singer Ashlee Simpson, proving once again that songs about sex with food are pop magic.

According to NME, they've beaten out fellow New Zealanders Crowded House for the most records sold in the US by a Kiwi band. This news has nearly brought the Internet down as rabid Crowded House fans debate on message boards whether the band hails from New Zealand or Australia.

The real answer? They're from both, just as Hillary Clinton is from Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois, and Arkansas.

And now for your daily knock on the door from mortality. Sub Pop Records is turning 20 years old!

And yes, that's kind of bad news, because if you remember when Soundgarden and Nirvana first released albums, you're very surely stumbling toward irrelevancy on an artificial hip. But, it's also good news, because they're throwing a birthday bash with bands like Iron & Wine and Flight of the Conchords and some awesome comedians:

SP20 Comedy Show
The SP20 activities will commence with a comedy show on July 11 at The Moore Theatre. Among the performing comedians are Sub Pop artists Eugene Mirman and Patton Oswalt, label friend and fan Todd Barry, and special guests.

With a new album from Comedy Central Records to promote, Todd Barry is out on the road. He's playing Juanita's in Little Rock, Arkansas tonight and gave an interview to the local paper to talk about the CD, baldness and his role on Flight of the Conchords:

Did you have any bongo experience prior to your guest spot on "Flight of the Conchords"? Drum circles? Bongo symphonies? Jam band guest spots?

I've played non-bongo drums for a while, but not particularly well. And my bongo skills are even more lacking, but perhaps that made my role on "Flight of the Conchords" funnier.

While Patton Oswalt's Werewolves and Lollipops was notably absent from the field, we'd like to hoist a frosty mug to Bret and Jemaine.
