As they have for every State of the Union Address since 1809[citation needed], the Indecision crew will be live-blogging and tweeting tonight as the president does his best to subtly remind the country that he's never asked his wife for an open marriage or stashed millions of dollars in the Caymans. So be sure to follow along here and at @Indecision.
And for the first time, this year you can also follow as Obama's Anger Translator Luther live-tweets at @ObamaTranslated. Don't miss it, or you'll have to deal with this guy:
Key & Peele premieres next Tuesday at 10:30/9:30c after the season premiere of Tosh.0.
For those of us not lucky enough to attend Sundance, thankfully we have intrepid National Public Radio personality and This American Life host Ira Glass, who's been working with Birbiglia on the film and is spearheading an effort to get it released in theaters. (He's almost too nice… ) As you can see, Ira needs you to help him help you:
"Now, we need your help, no kidding. At Sundance we hope to find someone to distribute the film and we want to demonstrate that our listeners might show up for it in theaters someday."
So why don't you sleepwalk your ass on over to this page and submit your info so we can all enjoy us some big-screen Birbiglia (still does not say "bibliographies"), and not just the snobby cinematic elite.
Sure the Frost/Nixon interview was great, but I've always said that it would have been even better if it had been conducted over a round of putt-putt. And that's why I think the latest episode of MTV's First Date edges it out. Watch for yourself as host Rya Backer talks to the Workaholics guys about everything from the origins of their group to Fela!
Voting is at the heart of America's democracy. And that heart is a withering, decaying muscle, barely able to pump blood to its feeble limbs. On the other hand, no it's not. Voting is great, and America is great! Sorry, I get schizophrenic when I have to make tough decisions. I'm trying to choose which comedians to Watch, Like and Follow in order to vote for them in this week's Stand-Up Month competition. The winners will have their specials air this Friday starting at 9/8c.
Any Futurama nerd worth his or her salt knows a Decapodian doesn't simply spring forth from its mother's loins in a humanoid state like we do, but rather develops through a multi-stage life cycle. I could describe that life cycle to you, but if I wanted to describe things, I'd blog on the radio. Instead I'll show you with this wonderful illustration by Redditor Phinix's girlfriend.
It's all part of JB Smoove's gradual takeover of Comedy Central Smoovedy Smoovetral. Look for the premieres of Smoove Park and The JBert Report soon. In the meantime, here's a clip from The Ruckus:
The new season of Ugly Americans doesn't arrive until March, but to tide you over, series mastermind Devin Clark posted some images on his Tumblr of the GOP presidential contenders as monsters from in the UA universe. That's right, he combined some of the most terrifying and repulsive creatures the world has ever seen with zombies and vampires.
Back in December, Blake Anderson jumped off his roof at a party onto a beer pong table and had to undergo surgery. I heard that's how Elvis died, except he jumped onto a toilet. MTV's First Date recently featured the Workaholics guys in an episode. You should be able to see it tomorrow, but until then, Blake delivered the following PSA in this post-show interview:
"Don't jump off roofs into hard surface areas." Did you feel that? It was as if a million backyard wrestling careers cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. Think of all the spines Blake just saved!
