Rue Brutalia kills it with their latest video, chronicling douchebag history with the origin of the fist bump. [Cracked]

Speaking of killing it, Broad City recruits Amy Poehler, Kristen Schaal and a bunch of other NY comics for their new video. Stop killing it everyone! My videos of silly impressions and cats farting won't get me an agent with all this competition! [Broad City]

Louis CK outlines his pitch for directing a movie, "Eight million bucks. It'll take about six months to finish it. But you don't get to know anything about it.." [Esquire]

The trailer for Conan O'Brien Can't Stop is out online, and it looks great. Apparently, it's pretty honest and doesn't pull any punches about his feelings after the late night mess. [AV Club]

Marc Maron interviewed Garry Shandling on the latest WTF! Listen to it, nerds! [WTF with Marc Maron]

I usually don't like dealing in celebrity gossip, but in this interview with the three Hangover stars, Zach Galifinakis reveals he and January Jones were rude to each other once. But the WHOLE interview is funny and interesting, so read it! [Shortlist]

Speaking of The Hangover guys, Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ken Jeong were asked to interview themselves and it quickly devolved into chaos. Pretty fun chaos. [Moviefone]

Did Lindsay Lohan Turn Down a Role in The Hangover?

Posted by:

57833458Since I know most of you read this blog for up to the minute Lindsay Lohan news, I feel it is my obligation to bring you this very important piece of gossip. Lilo did something again this time!

Lindsay Lohan passed up a chance at a career comeback. The hard-partying starlet turned down a role in the summer blockbuster "The Hangover," according to Us Weekly, because she said the screenplay "had no potential."

Todd Phillips, who directed the comedy, offered Lohan the role of Jade, a stripper played by Heather Graham. One source told the magazine Lohan's agent "tried hard to get Phillips to consider her," but "Lindsay said she didn't like the script." Lohan's rep didn't return e-mails.

When will this hard-partying starlet learn? The Hangover is obviously a great movie, but to Lohan's defense, maybe she read an early draft where instead of playing a stripper who marries Ed Helms, she plays a stripper with a missing hand and a secret twin sister. If that's the case, she was really smart for turning it down.

To be honest, I have no idea if this piece of gossip is true. I don't usually make it a habit of trusting gossip columns (I'm so paranoid, I know!) The real reason I'm posting this story is because it gives me the perfect excuse to imagine what The Hangover would have looked like if Lindsay Lohan had been in it.

After the jump, we use super advanced technology to digitally insert Lindsay Lohan into The Hangover. Read more »

Very Bad Movie Title

Are you aware that in France, they have a lot of little differences? For example, instead of The Hangover they call it Very Bad Trip. You know, because of the metric system.

Before They Get Stale: Sarah Silverman, Anthony Jeselnik and Bradley Cooper

Posted by:

57639178Sarah Silverman won a Webby and her five word acceptance speech was really funny. You have to wade through all my links and click after the jump to watch it though, because I am evil!

Bill Burr was the first stand-up on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Can't wait until their next big first; first stand-up to perform completely naked. It's bound to happen sooner or later. [Tonight Show]

Did you know that 30 Rock and The Muppet Show are the exact same show? It's true. I just read it on the internet. [Brian Lynch]

Punchline wrote an article on Anthony Jeselnik, a New York stand-up comedian, as well as a writer for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. If you aren't familiar with him, read up, noob! [Punchline]

Daniel Tosh talks about the internet, "You become so desensitized. The ante is so upped for me to remotely to be like 'Oh yeah, my instinct is that that is really not feces. What's next?'" [The Futon Critic]

Kathy Griffin and Bette Midler sing "Happy Birthday" to some dude, but then a seemingly crazy woman tries to steal the spotlight, but the D-list isn't big enough for all of them. The woman will have to make do with life on the homeless list. [Bravo]

Now your pet can die with dignity, by being ripped apart by a larger animal. Also, Henry Winkler is in this video. When I die, I want to be mauled by Fonzie. [Funny or Die]

Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson are in talks to star in the A-Team movie. Since no one man can fill Mr. T's shoes, both men will play B.A. Baracus by standing on each other's shoulders. [Entertainment Weekly]

John Krasinski talks about Away We Go, working with Maya Rudolph and [SPOILER ALERT] Jim and Pam's expected baby in The Office. [Blast]

Before They Get Stale: Ed Helms, Kevin MacDonald and Rob Riggle

Posted by:

16820608Ed Helms talks about The Hangover, The Office, The Daily Show, and his next big project, "It’s sort of a big, Back To The Future kind of comedy about Civil War reenactors who are sent back to the actual Civil War." [A.V. Club]

Kevin McDonald talks about the new Kids in the Hall miniseries, "[it is] a comedy Roots if you will. It will be eight episodes and called Death Comes to Town. And it's about a small town where people keep getting murdered." [AMC]

Interviewer Coree Spencer spends her entire interview making the amazing Hannibal Buress uncomfortable, asking him to impregnate her. Brian Williams could learn a thing or two from her. [Pop Rock Candy Mountain]

Speaking of Brian Williams, he at least got something right, asking Obama his feelings on Conan taking over The Tonight Show, instead of wasting time grilling the President about something boring like the economy or gay rights. [The Live Feed]

Todd Barry just launched his new website, which includes a receipt museum page. I usually just give my receipts to homeless people so they can pretend they bought stuff and won't be so depressed about being poor. [Todd Barry]

The Hangover guys are interviewed, and Zach Galifianakis drops an idea for a possible scene in the sequel, "Yeah, and I can jerk off a panda." [About]

Here's yet another big interview with Ed Helms. Geez, it's like that guy is in a big movie that's about to come out or something. [Starpulse]

Mike Sacks talks about writing for Sacha Baron Cohen, "We usually write about 75 percent to 80 percent… beforehand… We probably have a file of scripts and jokes that extends to about three thousand pages." [Vanity Fair]

Will Ferrell talks about B-Team, his next movie directed by Adam McKay and starring Mark Wahlberg. The movie will be PG-13, so they unfortunately had to cut the scene where Ferrell drags his balls over Wahlberg's drum set. [Collider]

Rob Riggle has awkward sex with a pregnant Andrea Savage. One day her child will be able to watch their amazing contribution to this video, but you can check it out now, after the jump.

Before They Get Stale: Steve Agee, Conan O'Brien and Mark Malkoff

56495255There's another red-band trailer for The Hangover, but I'm not going to watch it, because I still remember a simpler time when the Germans were our enemies and people liked to be unspoiled going into Zach Galifianakis movies. [IGN]

Speaking of The Hangover, it's just one of the many comedies coming to theaters this Summer. Here's a handy guide. [The Apiary]

Steve Agee evidently does a multi-hour live web-show on Saturdays. I hope you can fit it in among all the other multi-hour live web-shows you watch. [Ustream via Videogum]

20 of the best artistic renderings of Conan O'Brien from back when he was host of Late Night. Remember those days? We sure hated the Germans back then. [iBored]

Mark Malkoff, who used to work for The Colbert Report and once lived at an Ikea, is riding a plane for a really long time. He's Twittering about it right now. [NY Post]

This is how all eight members of the Fucked-Up Family died. [YouTube]

Tim Meadows is going to be hosting a new stand-up show. I'm just glad they didn't get some filthy Kaiser-lover to do it. [Punchline]

Bradley Cooper Is Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis

Posted by:

Did you hear they're creating a TV show about Twitter? It's true. For those of you keeping score at home, that's one TV show for Twitter, while Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis is still a three-minute web series. So much for change we can believe in. In fact, until there's an entire Between Two Ferns network, I maintain Obama is a failed president. What I mean to say is, watch this, it's awesome. (Audio NSFW)

The Hangover Gets a Sequel Before Its Theatrical Debut

Posted by:

hangover-movie-011

Good news for Zack Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms: The Hangover doesn't even come out until June 5, but has generated enough focus group heat that Warner Bros. commissioned a sequel. Were producers this confident about an X-Men sequel before the original premiered?

Will the next film introduce the three friends to the hair of the dog? Doesn't matter; that's the screenwriters' problem. This is no Snakes on a Plane.

Before They Get Stale: Bradley Cooper, Rob Huebel and Kristen Schaal

Posted by:

56901808Bradley Cooper on filming The Hangover in Vegas, "Living [in Vegas] that long was like being on some long, weird acid trip." A second later he added twitching, "Wait, we can't stop here. It's bat country." [Variety]

These people are recreating scenes from The Office using peeps. Unless you are five, sitcom recreations are basically the only use for those inedible sugar marshmallow balls of gross. [Office Tally]

Rob Huebel talks about UCB and his thoughts on improv, "a great thing… has always been this idea of "Don't Think"… if you think about it, you won't do it… One time, I killed an old man onstage…. I took "Don't Think" too far…" [Artist Direct]

Flight of the Conchords might be rocking the party for a third season. [Punchline Magazine]

Every day you learn and new thing, and today I learned that Megan Mullally discovered Bill Hader. [Oh No They Didn't via Videogum]

Whenever Lil Wayne leaves people in a lurch, it's always Eugene Mirman who's cleaning up Jeezy's mess. [Portland Mercury]

The never nude movement got a website, or should I call it a neversite? No, no I shouldn't because that doesn't even make sense. [Late Night with Jimmy Fallon]

Kristen Schaal talks about the real life Mels, "Nobody's made any death threats yet. I think people are comfortable with me. I'm sure they're a little jealous. I mean, I would be." [Tampa Bay]

Finally, software that helps comedians work out their stand-up sets. Now, if only they'd figure out a way to robotically force the audience to laugh. [Punchline]
