Deforestation (AKA cutting down a whole forest one butt-ton of trees at a time) is dangerous. Not just to the species of animals and plants that actually inhabit the forest being felled (like in that adorable episode of Chip and Dale), but also to humans. Why? Just ask Don Cheadle, gatekeeper of all the world's injustice.
Uniting the ostensibly antithetical arts of music videos and silent film was one of those things that was waiting to happen, but was missing a single key ingredient. That ingredient, of course, is Bananaise.
Embedded below these very words is the long-awaited coalition of these seemingly unlikely allies, brought together through the comic rap stylings of the incomparable TJ Miller. The Extended Play E.P., Miller's new album from which this single hails, is available now through Comedy Central Records. Consume the hilarious music video below and catch another track preview here.
If you've seen The Wrestler or Crazy Heart, you know the perils of old broken down pieces of meat making one last shot at redemption/finding new ways to be terrible dads. If you've ever seen a one-legged dog movie, you've seen both one-legged dog movies. But now there's a third one, and it stars Dan. St Germain (and a bunch of other funny people). Fox Searchlight the Internet presents The Fluffer. (NSFW)
When watching The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen, it's obvious what you should drink (four parts tiger blood, one part sweet vermouth, garnish with Adonis DNA and serve in a hollowed troll skull), but what should you eat? For that answer we turn to Charlie himself and this Funny or Die video from a few months ago. He's sort of like a slightly less terrifying Guy Fieri.
It's hard to imagine a world without women. Men across nations joining hands in common brotherhood, never producing weapons to compensate for their various shortcomings, the human race ending abruptly with no new offspring, etc. It's as sad as it is beautiful.
But the fact of the matter is that there are women. And those women can do just about anything. Including comedy. Check out this video from Funny or Die revealing the Secrets of the Ha-Ha Sisterhood featuring Amy Schumer who you can see flexing her funny bone on the dais of The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen Monday at 10/9c.
Scott Gairdner has been making Internet sketch videos for a long time now. And they've all been great! He was even hired by the Funny or Die team off of his work. Recently, he's been garnering a bit of attention for creating Tiny Fuppets (which is hard to explain, so just watch it). The Huffington Post interviewed him about doing comedy in this new world of cyberspace we call The Net.
There's definitely a lot more people doing this now. But I think it's dangerous, because a lot of stuff can feel sort of forced or insincere, like if you're doing it to get on "Saturday Night Live" and not having a genuine love for making videos. There's probably a lot of people who might see it as a ticket to fame, like it's some kind of shortcut, so they don't have to pay for Groundlings classes or something.
Go read the full interview! Here's one of my favorite of Scott's videos, the always timely Michael McDonald Halloween video.
Americans are suckers for the common man. We want to believe that all of our stars are really just like us– regular people with regular jobs and regular bowel movements (the results of which smell no better than ours).
So, when we discover that a celebrity's head is getting too big, we're quick to retract our love and box office dollars. But, if we never discover it, we'll happily go on ignoring how unquestionably superior these famous people are to the rest of us. Funny or Die has captured Steve Carell's subtle mastery of this delusion. Enjoy the hilarious video below and, in case you missed it, catch Steve as a guest on The Daily Show from last week after the jump.
Unless you count the time Larry Sanders endorsed Air Jordans (and you shouldn't, because that never happened), I think this is the first time a character from an HBO show appeared in a commercial for another product. Adam McKay apparently directed these spots wherein Kenny Powers (aka Danny McBride) takes over K-Swiss and declares himself the new mother-effing CEO. Put on your headphones, because this is MFNSFW!
Did you watch Night at the Museum and think, "I could have written that"? And then did you watch The Godfather: Part II and think the same thing? Are you usually right about 50% of the time? Congratulations, your streak lives on!
Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, of RENO 911! fame and Herbie: Fully Loaded infamy, are sharing their secrets on how you, yes you, can become as boat-owningly rich as they are. Their book Writing Movies for Fun and Profit hits shelves this week, and now it's getting the good old fashion infomercial treatment with this hilarious video from Funny or Die.
