As if yesterday wasn't romantic enough with it being Valentine's Day, Ricky Gervais and Jon Stewart had to turn the heat up even more with their graphic chat about panda porn and raccoon humping on last night's Daily Show. Don't be surprised if there's a sudden spike in the birthrate nine months from yesterday.
Everybody always remembers that Valentine's Day is February 14, but what about the second most romantic day of the year? I'm referring of course to March 1, National Pig Day, And what better way to celebrate both your relationship with that special someone and your appreciation for pork than by seeing the great Wyatt Cenac perform stand-up live at Carolines on Broadway? He'll be doing a total of six shows from March 1 through 4, so get your tickets here before they're gone!
Speaking of animals, here's an uncensored clip of Wyatt discussing animal rights:
As you're well aware, today is Valentine's Day, the annual holiday commemorating the events of February 14, 1978, when St. Valentine chased all of the snakes back into Ireland. And I don't know about you, but I simply can't think of a better way to say "I Choo Choo Choose You!" than by presenting you with this fragrant bouquet of fresh-cut Daily Show clips. What'd you get me?
A little over a year ago, Jon Stewart played an instrumental role in raising awareness for the Zadroga Bill to provide healthcare to 9/11 first responders. Fortunately, the bill passed. However, in a twist that sounds like it's from a dark satire about how broken and inefficient our government is, cancer is not a covered ailment. So, Jon has once again lent his voice to the cause with this PSA for the FealGood Foundation:
The first time I met my best friend, it was pretty awkward. I was crying hysterically and covered in blood. She was sweating and exhausted, because she'd just finished giving birth to me. Believe it or not though, there are plenty of people with friends who are not their mother. Take Jon Stewart for instance. Many recurring Daily Show guests, dubbed "friends of the show," were not connected to him via an umbilical chord. Here's the first appearance from Bill O'Reilly, who's returned to the show several times since.
If you've been wondering whatever happened to Cool World star Brad Pitt after the 1992 live-action/animated classic, wonder no more. The elusive actor was on last night's Daily Show to talk about his non-profit Make It Right and the film Moneyball, which is sadly not the long-awaited Cool World sequel.
The interview went long, but you can now see the full, unedited version right here:
On last night's Daily Show, during the Moment of Zen, you saw Stephen Colbert chase after Jon Stewart in pursuit of his Super PAC. But the chase went on much longer, and you can now see the extended segment complete with the thrilling final confrontation in this web-exclusive video. It's pretty much the best deleted scene that doesn't feature Na'vis having sex ever.
Are you guys ready for this? This week, Jon Stewart is going to be sitting down with one of the dreamiest dreamboats to ever throb a heart in Swoon City. That's right, Lou Dobbs is making his long awaited return to The Daily Show tonight! Also, Brad Pitt will be making his Daily Show debut on Wednesday's show.
With that in mind, here's a look back at some of TDS's best Brad Pitt moments, starting with this segment from 13 years ago almost to the day:
Wednesday night, you might have seen Jon Stewart interview Paula Broadwell about her book All In. But what you didn't see was this segment where Paula challenged Jon to a pushup contest to benefit the wounded veterans charity Team Red, White and Blue.
A warning to our younger readers: This video contains uncensored explicit language.
A warning to our older readers: This video features three people in way better shape than you.
I don't know about you, but I will always remember yesterday as the day I couldn't find out Skrillex's birthday or who invented the pogo-stick. That's because Wikipedia was blacked out all day along with Reddit, Boing Boing and a number of others as a way of protesting two congressional anti-piracy bills known as SOPA and PIPA. What are SOPA and PIPA? Let's watch some copyrighted videos and find out.
After the jump, Jon Stewart covers SOPA and PIPA with some help from Jessica Williams.
