Posted by:

Wednesday night, you might have seen Jon Stewart interview Paula Broadwell about her book All In. But what you didn't see was this segment where Paula challenged Jon to a pushup contest to benefit the wounded veterans charity Team Red, White and Blue.

Colbert Exclusive: The Black Keys Perform "Gold on the Ceiling"

Posted by:

I'm a white guy in my 30s, which means I spend a lot of time in my car blasting The Black Keys and making a really embarrassing "ungh!" face. But not today! No, today I will sit in front of my computer blasting The Black Keys and making a really embarrassing "ungh!" face. Here they are with an exclusive web-only Colbert Report performance of "Gold on the Ceiling" off their new record El Camino:

After the jump, you can watch The Black Keys perform "Lonely Boy" and sit down for a chat with Stephen Colbert.

The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30/10:30c.

Tinariwen's Exclusive Bonus Performance from The Colbert Report

Posted by:

Last night, Stephen Colbert welcomed Tinariwen, an internationally acclaimed band that formed in the refugee camps of Libya, which sounds like a slightly better place to live than where most American bands are formed, Orlando. In this web-only exclusive, Tinariwen performs "Imidiwan Ma Tenam" off their new album "Tassili."

This Video is Currently Unavailable

If you want to learn more about the nomadic rock band, The New York Times profiled them back in August.

After the jump, we've posted video of Tinariwen performing "Tenere Taqqim Tossam" alongside TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone and Tunde Adebimpe, as well as Colbert's interview with the band.

The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30/10:30c.

Radiohead's Exclusive Bonus Performances from The Colbert Report

Posted by:

Last night, music history was made as Radiohead joined Stephen Colbert for The Colbert Report's first-ever one-hour show. It was the most groundbreaking sea change in music since Dylan went electric, or at the very least, since Bieber cut his hair. But even a full hour could not contain the abundance of rock, so today we are pleased to share with you three additional Radiohead performances that didn't make it to air last night. You can watch all three web exclusives along with the three songs from the broadcast after the jump, but first, here's Stephen's interview with the band:

Colbert Exclusive: Jeff Bridges Auditions for Summer's Eve

Posted by:

On last night's Colbert Report, Jeff Bridges performed two songs off his new album and sat down for a chat with Stephen. He also shot this online-exclusive segment, wherein he auditions to usurp the vagina hand-puppet as the spokesman for Summer's Eve. Do I think Summer's Eve should hire Jeff? Let's just say while you're watching this video, I'm going to be trying to figure out what to do with the dozen cases of vagina wash I just ordered.

After the jump you can see Stephen's interview with Jeff Bridges along with a performance of "What a Little Bit of Love Can Do" and a bonus web-only performance of "Maybe I Missed the Point." And in case you missed it, I also embedded Stephen's now-classic segment about the new Summer's Eve ad campaign.

The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30/10:30c.

Colbert Exclusive: The Cars Perform "My Best Friend's Girl"

Posted by:

As promised, the recently reunited Cars performed on last night's Colbert Report. And anyone who wondered if they still sound as good as they did in the 80s saw plainly that The Cars haven't changed a bit since their breakup despite being outfitted with environmentally-friendly hybrid-electric drivetrains.

The band played the show out with a rendition of their classic "My Best Friend's Girl" that got cut off after a few seconds. But you can now see the performance in its entirety right here:

After the jump, watch Stephen's interview with Ric Ocasek and The Cars performance of "Keep on Knocking" from their new album Move Like This.

The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30/10:30c.

Stephen Colbert Performs Live in New York

Posted by:

A few weeks ago, Stephen Colbert relaunched his music career, performing "Charlene II (I'm Over You)" on The Colbert Report while backed by The Black Belles. But, as with all great music performed by neatly-coiffed guys in business suits, Stephen's rock could not be contained by a television studio, and before long, he and the Belles were taking to the streets of New York to perform the song live. And now, in this exclusive video, you can see that performance intermixed with footage of Stephen and Jack White selling copies of the record.

The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30/10:30c.

Join Andrew Daly, Jen Kirkman and Christian Finnegan for the Comedy Awards Webcast Pre-Show

Posted by:

When the first annual Comedy Awards premieres this Sunday, at 9/8c, it will air simultaneously on Comedy Central, Spike TV, CMT, Logo, TV Land and VH1. And, as if those aren't enough viewing options, the show will also stream online at thecomedyawards.com/webcast. I heard they wanted it to be available on refrigerators too, but the technology hasn't quite been perfected. Maybe next year.

Now, some of the benefits of watching the Webcast are obvious. It's easier to watch on the toilet, and it allows viewers to easily tab over to their favorite porn sites. But beyond that, with the Webcast, you'll also get to watch the online-exclusive Pre-Show. It starts at 8:45 and features commentary by the great Andy Daly and Jen Kirkman along with red carpet interviews by Christian Finnegan. Andy and Jen will also host a series of short intermissions throughout the show with more interviews and coverage of the backstage press conference.

Among the interviewees are Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Louis CK, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Kristin Schaal, Olivia Munn, Craig Robinson, Questlove & The Roots, Ty Burrell, Chloe Moretz, The Gregory Brothers, Rob Corddry and more. Only a crazy person would want to miss that!
