I believe it was Kant who said, "You don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies." Likewise, you don't get over 200,000 people to come to a delightful rally in our nation's capital, without a few people misunderstanding the intent and bellyaching about it on TV. Jon Stewart knows what I'm talking about.

The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

Indecision posted a bunch of great signs from the Rally yesterday, but I saw this one on Reddit this morning and had to share it. Oh right, like the guy in the $4000 suit is going to not blog this? Come on!

In the future, everything will be auto-tuned. As I understand it, it will be an unexpected and pleasant side-effect of hoverboard exhaust and Silly Bandz fumes mixing together in the oxygen supply. It's not the future yet though, so it's a good thing we've got The Gregory Brothers around to auto-tuned stuff for us.

If you missed The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear, you can watch a bunch of highlight clips over here.

The Daily Show and Colbert Report air Monday through Thursday starting at 11pm / 10c.

If you're to believe some in the press, everyone traveling to tomorrow's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear is doing so on geothermal recumbent bikes made of hemp and recycled latte cups. And while that may be the case for many attendees, at least a few people got to DC this week on a good old fashioned CO2-spewing American bus. I'm speaking of course of John Oliver, Jason Jones and the ideological-spectrum-spanning passengers on The Daily Show's Sanity Bus. In case you missed it, here are all of the videos that traced their epic journey.

The story continues after the jump.

The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c, and The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear will be broadcast live from our nation's capital on Comedy Central and online tomorrow starting at 12pm / 11c.

I'm afraid of plenty of things: the dark, public speaking, spiders, centipedes, millipedes, bipeds, mopeds, the light, getting trapped in an elevator, being buried alive by a UPS guy, getting trapped in an escalator, Funky Winkerbean, private speaking, not being able to think up enough absurdly random items for a list of fears, bees, you know, all the usual stuff. But just for good measure, to prepare us for the Fear part of the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear, Stephen Colbert introduced a few more things of which to be afraid on last night's Colbert Report.

The segment continues below.

The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30pm / 10:30c and The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear airs live tomorrow at 12pm / 11c.

I really wanted to go to The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear this Saturday in Washington, D.C., but it conflicts with my tri-weekly Silent Seat Ball league, so I decided I'd just have to wait for the next once-in-a-lifetime generation-defining political satire extravaganza. But now I'm rethinking things after learning that Stephen Colbert will be leading the crowd in a bone-chilling rendition of his song "Have You Seen the Ghost of Jon?" After all, the only things I cherish more than obscure elementary school sports are spooky singalongs.

Click here for the lyrics to "Have You Seen the Ghost of Jon?" and here to download a free mp3 of Stephen singing it.

The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30pm / 10:30c.

When was the last time you interviewed a president? For me it was July 27, 1992, right after the inauguration of President Optimus Prime, whose position on the issue of not taking a bath ever again — I was delighted to discover — was the same as mine. Jon Stewart gets his first chance this week when President Barack Obama crashes his Washington D.C. set. Do not not watch it.

Monday, October 25

Austan Goolsbee – One of President Obama's chief economic advisers. Winner of the Presidential Medal of Goofy-Ass Name two years running.

Tuesday, October 26

Ted Kaufman – Democratic Senator from Delaware, serving out the end of Joe Biden's term. Still having trouble getting that Bideny smell out of his office.

Wednesday, October 27

Barack Obama – The President of the United States. Also a pretty good public speaker, so I'm told.

Judd Apatow talks about his new book, I Found this Funny, and his literacy level, "One of the reasons why a lot of my characters are high is that it’s easier to write for people who are stoned, who are not very smart and don’t know big words." [New Yorker]

In the latest episode of Atom TV, the star and creator of Legend of Neil fill you in on everything you ever wanted to know about LoN's current season. [Atom]

New York, a city where it's perfectly legal to wear a hat made of doll parts and street preach about your penis, won't let Alec Baldwin marry Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Alec has some words about that. [The Daily What]

Speaking of Alec Baldwin, he also revised his famous Glengarry Glen Ross speech to help NPR during their pledge drive. You can listen to it after you close your coffee! (It's been a long time, that's the quote, right?) [Vulture]

Murderfirst and Kristen Schaal have been respectively named the 'best sketch group' and 'best comedian' in New York by the Village Voice. You might not know Murderfirst, but they are both insanely awesome and awesomely insane. [Murderfist, Kristen Schaal]

How does Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation's Andy Dwyer) gain weight for his role? The same way a depressed housewife gains weight, by eating without abandon. Here are some pictures of him eating. [Vulture]

Local news reporter Gordon Keith interviewed Zach Galifianakis and tried to out-awkward the master of awkward. Zach reminds me of an old gunslinger who has to deal with young cowhands trying to prove themselves by beating him to a draw. [WFAA]
