If you're a fan of Gabriel Iglesias, then you've most likely heard him tell crazy stories about his friend Martin Moreno. The two comedians have a long history together, and with 27 new dates added to the Stand-Up Revolution Tour, Fluffy and Moreno also have the future planned out. The tour that hits the Midwest this weekend also features Trevor Noah and three comedians from last season of Gabriel Iglesias Presents: Stand Up Revolution—Rick Gutierrez, Shaun Latham, and Alfred Robles.

"It really has to be somebody that you trust, somebody that's going to be part of a family," says Moreno about the group that has already been sharing one tour bus for the better part of a year. "It's just like a family, and you've got the crazy uncle that shows up smelling like weed all the time."

Here's where you scratch your computer screen and sniff. Didn't work? Well, let Fluffy tell you about Martin.

Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution

The real story of Fluffy and Moreno goes back over a decade when the two met at a comedy show at a VFW in a part of Los Angeles called Wilmington. But that story isn't as funny as one that Iglesias told on his Hot & Fluffy DVD about the time he drove to Moreno's house in the hood.

"I did grow up in the hood," says Moreno. "People throw 'hood' out there. They're very liberal when they say, "I'm from the hood." The town I grew up in, it's 2012 and there is no Starbucks there. When Starbucks says, 'Screw your town," it's pretty hood."

Here's the story:

Is it tough to live up to the legend that one of the biggest comedians in the country makes him out to be? "You know," Moreno explains as I interview him after a Texas tour stop in the lobby of that night's sold out arena. "What's funny is that, deep down, I'm a nice guy but I'm also a crazy dude. But in those doses, like if I just come out and tell you what I'm all about, it kinda scares people. The way that Gabriel puts it out there, it's a lot more toned down." And, right on cue, the interview is interrupted so Moreno can take a picture with a fan who's so young his dad has to ask permission. There's the nice guy. And when he returns to the interview the first thing he says is, "I love excess." And we're back.

"So, is it hard for me to live up to what he puts out there? Actually, no. It's like a breeze. I have the freedom to be me and nobody gets shocked. I've been that guy for a long time. I hate censoring myself. I hate being fake and putting up a front. It's just so free to be yourself. It's one of the most amazing things in life—self-actualization. Very few people ever achieve it, and I really feel that I'm pretty close to being there."

The #1 movie on iTunes right now is Contraband starring Mark Wahlberg. Do you know how many funny stories about working at a video store Contraband has? Zero!

Paul F. Tompkins: Laboring Under Delusions, on the other hand, has a really funny story about working in a video store. That’s right, infinity-times more video store stories than Contraband.

So let’s all click here and buy Laboring Under Delusions from iTunes. If enough of us do it, Mark Wahlberg will never again make the mistake of starring in a movie that doesn’t have at least one hilarious video store story in it.

The inaugural Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival kicked off in Austin, Texas yesterday, and there was no holding back on the talent. On night one of the four-night comedy festival, eight of the 11 participating venues had opening night shows from the likes of Maria Bamford, curse-happy cover band The Dan Band, and Aziz Ansari, who brought along Parks and Recreation writer Chelsea Peretti for two sold-out shows in  the 1300-seat Paramount Theatre. Not a bad way for a funny festival to show they mean serious business.

At Ansari’s second performance of the night, Peretti warmed up the crowd covering topics from how to eat a banana without looking sexually suggestive, regretting that she didn’t try to sound sexier when giving a blind man directions, and how comedy would be much easier if she were a fat guy rather than a female comic. But in her defense, and as she pointed out in her set, she didn’t talk about her period once.

When Aziz took the stage for his hour-long set, he strutted out with the swagger for which he’s familiar from characters like Funny People’s Randy and Parks and Recreation’s Tom Haverford. And if you didn’t recognize the confidence, he was quick to point it out by sharing how he thinks if someone is not enjoying his show, it’s quite possibly because they are literally mentally retarded. He joked about how his intimidating good looks as a child could be the only reason he never got molested, comparing himself to the really hot girl at a bar (“Oh, that’s Aziz, he could f*ck any grown man he wants.”) He also talked about his views on marriage (“I want to hang out with you until one of us dies.”) and having children (“You can’t have a chain wallet and a baby. You can’t even keep track of your wallet, you have to chain it to your body.”) Then he went on to talk about reality TV and how the girls on 16 and Pregnant and My Super Sweet Sixteen should get struck by lightning and switch lives (“I hate the girls on My Super Sweet 16, they’re horrible. Someone should impregnate those girls and ruin their lives.”)

And what's a festival without after-parties? Every night, Esquire Magazine and Patron Tequila will host "post-show mix and mingles" at the Moontower Lounge in the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin hotel. The mixer is open to anyone with a festival badge, and last night put regular folks in the same room with Andy Kindler, Bil Dwyer, Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band, and Austin-native Brendon Walsh and other hometown comedy heroes like Ramin Nazer and Chris Cubas.

If you can get to Austin you can catch those up-and-comers and plenty of big names as The Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival continues through Saturday with performances from John Mulaney, Andy Kindler, Steven Wright, JB Smoove, Seth Meyers, Wanda Sykes and many more. Single show tickets and festival badges are still available. Follow the fest on Facebook and Twitter for updates.

Paul F. Tompkins and Patton Oswalt both had specials make their network TV debuts this weekend on Comedy Central. If it was December, that would totally count as a Christmas miracle. Since it's April, it's just an Earth Day coincidence. Well, today, both specials are available for purchase! Oh my God, could it be? Is it a National Pigs-in-a-Blanket Day happenstance?

Having a hard time getting into the obscure holiday spirit? This sneak peek of a DVD exclusive from Paul F. Tompkins: Laboring Under Delusions features Paul and Gillian Jacobs recording an episode of the delightfully silly Pod F. Tompkast.

What more can you say about struggling with the banalities of everyday existence than what Patton Oswalt does in the 42-second clip? I mean, really.

Patton sounds kind of John Fogerty-esque when he Jock Rocks, though, so maybe he's trying to mix in a little Swamp Rocking for flavor? I don't know. I guess that is the beauty of life. There is no end to how weird you can be.

Patton's one-hour special, Patton Oswalt: Finest Hour, makes its network television premiere tomorrow at 10/9c, ahead of the all-new Paul F. Tompkins: Laboring Under Delusions.

The network television premier of Patton Oswalt's recent special–from which his Grammy-nominated album, Patton Oswalt: Finest Hour, originates–airs this Saturday at 10/9c ahead of the highly anticipated Paul F. Tompkins: Laboring Under Delusions. Is Comedy Central trying to kill you with this two-hour overdose of sheer hilarity? No. Why would we want to kill our own viewers?

Still, to be safe, you'll want to start out with small doses. It'll be like how secret agent dudes take tiny doses of cyanide in increasing magnitude to build up a natural tolerance. Except replace cyanide with funny shit.
